✨Tiny humans deserve big care!✨

Did you know babies can benefit from chiropractic too?

From supporting better sleep 😴 to helping with feeding challenges, digestion 💩, and even easing tension from birth (yep, that’s a thing!), chiropractic care can help your little one feel their best as they grow.

Care is always age-appropriate, and often looks like a cozy stretch or light hold. Most babies love it (and sometimes fall asleep mid-treatment 😍).

🌿 Movement in Pregnancy 🌿

Pregnancy is not a time to “just rest”; it’s a time to move with purpose! Maintaining mobility and staying active during pregnancy can help:

✨ Reduce aches and pains
✨ Support baby’s optimal position
✨ Improve circulation and energy
✨ Prepare your body for labour and recovery
✨ Boost your mood and mental health

That doesn’t mean pushing yourself to the limit, it means choosing movement that feels right for your body in each trimester. Walking, stretching, prenatal yoga, or gentle strength work can all be incredibly supportive.

Let’s keep your body strong, mobile, and supported for this amazing journey 🤍

Tummy Time 👶🏼💪🏼

Tummy time isn’t just cute, it’s crucial! From the very first days of life, supervised tummy time helps your baby:

✨ Build head, neck, and shoulder strength
✨ Prevent flat spots on the head
✨ Promote motor skills and coordination
✨ Support proper spinal and nervous system development

Start with just a few minutes a day, and build up as your baby grows. Consistency is key! 🙌🏼

As a pediatric chiropractor, I love supporting families through these early milestones—if you have questions about movement, head shape, or motor development, I’m here to help!

☀️ Summer heat is no joke, especially when you’re staying active! ☀️

Whether you’re out for a walk, hitting the trails, or chasing after little ones, don’t forget to stay hydrated and I’m not just talking plain water.

🧂 When you sweat, you lose electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium, which are just as important to replace as fluids. Without them, you may find yourself feeling dizzy, crampy, or unusually fatigued.

💧Tips to stay balanced in the heat:
✔️ Sip water consistently throughout the day
✔️ Add electrolyte tablets or powders to your water if sweating a lot
✔️ Include hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumbers, and oranges
✔️ Avoid overdoing it with caffeine or alcohol

Take care of your body so it can keep taking care of you! 🌿

Exercise lately… looks a little different 👶🏼🧘🏻‍♀️

It’s not quiet. It’s not zen. It’s definitely not uninterrupted. But it is movement. It’s our kind of yoga. And right now, that’s more than enough 💛

Shoutout to all the mamas finding ways to move their body whether it’s solo, shared, or somewhere in between!

Prenatal Exercise 🤰🏻💪🏼

Exercise in pregnancy can be incredibly beneficial for your body, your baby, and your birth experience. But here’s the key: it needs to be tailored to you and what your body can handle in this moment.

Pregnancy is not the time to suddenly take on a brand new, intense fitness routine. Instead, it’s about building on the movement your body is already familiar with and adjusting as your pregnancy progresses.

What felt good in your first trimester might not feel great in your third and that’s okay! Your energy levels, joint stability, and core function are all changing, and your exercise routine should reflect that.

✅ Stick to what you know
✅ Modify as needed
✅ Rest when your body asks for it
✅ Focus on function over intensity

✨ Move to feel good. Move to feel strong. Move for birth.

Newborn Feeding – What is NOT Normal

Feeding your newborn can feel like a full-time job—and it is! But how do you know if something might be off? Here are a few signs that feeding may not be as efficient or effective as it should be:

🚩 Falling asleep at the breast before a full feed is taken: This can mean baby is working too hard to feed or not latching well.

🚩 Clicking sounds at the breast or bottle: This often signals a poor seal or latch—possibly due to tethered oral tissues.

🚩 Baby seems unsatisfied after feeds: If your little one finishes feeding but still acts hungry or unsettled, they may not be transferring milk well.

🚩 Wanting to feed more often than every 2–3 hours: Cluster feeding can be normal at times, but consistently needing frequent feeds might point to inefficient feeding.

💡 The good news? There are ways to support better feeding! I assess babies for oral function and tension patterns that may be impacting their ability to feed effectively—and provide hands-on treatment to help.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today we celebrate all the incredible dads and father figures who give their time, love, and energy to care for their families.

To all the dads out there carrying car seats, chasing toddlers, and supporting your partners through long nights- I see you. Your strength, patience, and presence don’t go unnoticed.

Here’s to the dads who prioritize their own health too—because taking care of yourself is one of the best ways to keep showing up for your family. 💪🏼

Wishing all the dads a day of love, appreciation, and maybe even a little rest—you’ve earned it!

Pregnant and feeling like your belly needs a bit of extra support?

Let’s talk about kinesiology taping during pregnancy! 🎀

This gentle, non-invasive technique uses stretchy, breathable tape to help:
🤰🏻 Reduce round ligament and low back pain
👣 Ease swelling in the legs and feet
🌬 Improve posture and support your growing bump
💪🏼 Relieve tension in overworked muscles

Taping is safe, drug-free, and can be customized to your unique needs—whether you’re dealing with discomfort in your lower back, rib cage, or hips.

It’s one of my favourite tools to support mamas-to-be in staying comfortable and active throughout pregnancy. 💗

Sacroiliac Joint Pain vs. Sciatica — What’s the Difference? 🤔💥

Lower back pain can be tricky… especially when it radiates into your hips or legs. Two common culprits? SI joint dysfunction and sciatica — and while the symptoms can seem similar, they’re not the same!

SI Joint Pain
🔸 Originates at the sacroiliac joint (where your spine meets your pelvis)
🔸 Pain is often one-sided in the lower back, buttock, or groin
🔸 Can worsen with standing, sitting, or rolling in bed
🔸 Often feels achy

Sciatica
🔹 Caused by irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve
🔹 Pain can shoot down the buttock, back of the thigh, and even to the foot
🔹 Often described as burning, tingling, or numb
🔹 Can be triggered by disc issues, arthritic change or impingement from muscles

🧠 Knowing the difference is key to getting the right treatment.

💆🏻‍♀️ Chiropractic care can help assess the root cause, provide targeted adjustments, and get you back to moving pain-free.
