Skills Day is one of the ways we continue to invest in our people and the care we provide every day. This year’s spring sessions focused on strengthening key clinical skills and building confidence in areas such as massive hemorrhage response, central venous access devices, documentation, lifts and transfers, Code Pink procedures, wound care, and education from the Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN).
It was also a great opportunity to collaborate with regional care teams who joined us onsite, like Lisa Groulx from Hospital, and Shona Kroeker, Regional Critical Care Educator from Brantford Community Healthcare System, and Kayleigh Faulkner from TGLN, strengthening connections across the broader healthcare system and supporting shared learning and consistency in best practices.
Through hands-on learning and expert guidance from presenters and team leaders, staff were able to refresh essential skills, practice real-world scenarios, and continue building on patient safety. Thank you to all who contributed to making the day possible and for generously sharing their knowledge, time, and expertise.
