You may be thinking, why canโ€™t you just throw on a box of colour over a blonde? Well, this is a question we get regularlyโฌ‡๏ธ
The answer is, just like going blonde from brown when you need to lift through the pigments that always live in the hair shaft (those stubborn warm tones, like reds, oranges, and yellows), well, you also have to add those pigments back in when going from blonde to brown.

Photo #4, is how Cassie came into the salon after getting a little blonde cray in her bathroom with some lightener and 30 volume ๐Ÿซฃ (yes, I just threw you under the bus๐Ÿคฃ) We live and we learn ๐Ÿ˜…
Photo #3, was our first fill process. We used calypso in shade 8G & 9G to add in those yellow/gold tones we were missing. Once developed, we rinsed and went in with a second fill formula.
Photo #2, was after our second fill process. We used calyspo in shade 7C & 6G and let that also develops for 20 minutes. The 7C added in some orange tones that we needed to deposit in order to correctly reach our end colour which was about a 6G. I added the 6G into this formula aswell as something we call a โ€œpre-toneโ€ in the hair world. This means I basically coloured the hair the tone I wanted it, before I actually coloured the hair the tone I wanted itโ€ฆ yes, you read that correctly! Think of it like a primer for the end colour!
Photo #1 was our end result. Our final colour formula was ultimates & rhapsody, with 6NB+G6 on the root, paired with rhapsody 6N+6B+6G on the mid to ends. We paired that colour with 150g of genius wefts, in shades Mckenna & Natalie!

After 4 hours, 3 colour applications and a 2 row extension install later, we have a beautiful brunette end result ๐ŸคŽ
