Hi friends,

It's been a while since I hopped on my FB and updated you on what's new! I'm very active on my Instagram page, and my content from there automatically posts onto my page. I recently realized how out-dated the information was in my pinned posts here on Facebook. So I'm here to update that!

If you've been into the salon to see me anytime in the last 6 months - you know just how busy work life has been. Between opening our expanison upstairs for our spa, doubling our staff in a very short amount of time, wedding season, summer holidays, event planning and so much more, it's easy to tell I need my own greys touched up😉

At this time, I am not taking new colour and cut clients BUT I am taking on clients who are in need of weft extensions due to being the only one licensed at the salon to offer this method. This decision was hard for me, because I LOVE having new faces in my chair - but, its hard for my ride of die's to get in with me in a reasonable timeframe when I'm taking new clients. My schedule has not changed over the summer, and will continue to be my schedule with an update to come in January:
SUNDAYS - Closed
MONDAYS - Admin Day
TUESDAYS-THURSDAYS - 10am to 8pm
FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS - Reserved for Wedding Days

✺Getting a little vulnerable here, but this fall and winter season, I'm trying to prioritize my mental health, and avoid burnout as much as possible. If you know me, you are probably laughing while you read that... because its impossible for me for me not to be doing SOMETHING.... This summer has been EXHAUSTING to say the least - in some of the best ways possible. There were days when I first started that I longed to own a salon and be surrounded by some of the best people in the industry... but sometimes you need to take a step back and regroup, because you cannot pour from an empty cup ♡

Did you know that I rarely use just one colour of extensions in my clients? 🤭

Well now you do! You may be wondering, “why the heck is Julia trying to get me to purchase a super bright blonde (like shade Stephanie, swipe to view!) and a medium brown (like shade Brianna, swipe to view x2!) when my hair is nothing like either of those colours?”

Well my friends, that is something called colour theory - it’s knowing when and (more importantly) why I’ve selected the colours that you now have installed in your head.

It’s nerve wracking, sitting there looking at two completely different colours, and neither of them match you. You’ll often hear me say “tRuSt tHe PrOcESS!!!!!!” I’m sure my staff are tired of listening to me repeating those same 3 words over and over🤣

But, you need to always dissect what colours make your colour - yes, you read that right. What colours MAKE your colour. I’m not talking about the part of colour theory that proves that red and blue make purple… I’m talking about the dissection of your colour on your head, such as:
- Your base colour
- Your highlight colour
- Your lowlight colour
- Your root colour
- Your inspo colour

Then, you end up with a masterpiece of alllllll of those colours mixed together, making it undetectable where your hair ends, and where your extensions begin.

This way, your extension colour blends from day one, to day 365, when your colour is fresh, and when your colour is faded…. Ensuring you get the MOST use of your extensions💡

We’re teaming up with Kayla Lynn Photography for a creative project, and we’re looking for 4-5 past brides to bring their wedding gowns out of the closet one more time! 💍

This styled shoot will give us the chance to showcase our bridal hair and makeup artistry while adding fresh, dreamy content to our portfolio. If you’d love an excuse to slip back into your dress and be pampered with professional hair and makeup, this is the perfect opportunity.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅:
→ Must be available on September 11th, with flexible timing (Location will most likely be downtown)
→ Must be comfortable in front of the camera (during the getting ready process and after for a few staged photos)
→ Must be open to our hairstyle of choice (Hollywood waves, half up half down, low updo, high updo, etc)
→ Must be open to our makeup of choice (natural glam, soft glam, full glam, etc)
→ Any age - as long as you're a past bride!
