A hard Leg day is good for the soul.

Strength is slightly down, but we still go all in every rep no matter what phase we’re in💯

Brought up my quads substantially this past year, so just need to continue checking off the same boxes with the same intent & intensity🎯

Only 3 weeks left of this mini cut phase and we’re back to business😈

Hamstrings, Upper Pec, Delts, Triceps, Abs✅

Still adjusting to the flow of my new split and the volume allocations but full round of the split is now complete. After running through 2 full weeks we will more than likely make some more adjustments based on the biofeedback 🤝

*I always reset the standard at the start of a new training block, slowing everything down and locking in on the intention at hand. Especially when there are new movements patterns at play, stimulus & ex*****on are all the most important drivers on hypertrophy 🎯

I love breaking down form analysis with my own athletes as we go through each phase, don’t just show up and go through the motions, make every effort count.

168.0 Fasted Weight, Off Season Week 1✅

Not surprised I had a little weight drop, even with a decent increase in food to start off. (-2.4 lbs)

Just coming back from a deload week to start this push, the intensity I have in training results in burning a helluva lot of calories, thus some water weight/glycogen shifting is expected to take place.

My body has now also adjusted back from the extra snacks over the holidays and I’m even looking a bit tighter than before PLUS a lot more fullness to the muscle, so we know we’re on track🎯

Another huge metric of progress I like to use is gym PERFORMANCE! All my lifts have significantly gone up and the pumps and connections being made are skin shattering. At the end of the day, it’s about moving the needle forward with our progressive overload much more so than the SCALE🤝

Christmas Chest Pump with my angel .pop97 😘

Main cues for across the board with developing your chest:

1️⃣Think proud chest, tall ribcage
2️⃣Always control the negative
3️⃣Stay within active ROM (don’t push with shoulders)
4️⃣Wrist & Elbows stay stacked on top of one another
5️⃣Learn activation of scapular retraction
6️⃣Stimulus Progression > Weight Progression👌🏼
7️⃣Train to mechanical failure
8️⃣Use one set intensifier (ex: dropset)
9️⃣Don’t overtrain with too much volume
🔟Your working sets should be challenging enough that you should never need extra sets or exercises, or if you do feel that way you need to revisit your form ex*****on.

Both of the guys who beat me in each division (shown here) brought great packages to the stage and it was awesome getting to run through the rounds battling it out💪🏼

Bodybuilding is an individual sport where you are objectively judged and compared to others, but the only real competition is the one with yourself👊🏼
