S'MYELIN Warriors NL is honoured to join the Provincial Government of Newfoundland and Labrador in raising S'Myelin Warriors NL flag in recognition of May as MS Awarness Month !!

This evening Confederation building will light up in Red for MS Awarness Month!

Multiple Sclerosis is a unpredictable illness, but what is not unpredictable is the support each year all of you give to people living with MS by walking The Paws 4 MS Walk. The 7th annual Paws 4 MS Walk was a success but I could not have done it without all these wonderful people that work with me every year to make it happen. Thank you to Mark Winsor (Owner & Trainer Critters'N'Things), Ken Red (NL's Dog Whisperer), to Karamarie Kathleen & staff of Critters'N'Things, City of Mount Pearl Council, MHA Lucy Stoyles, MHA Paul Lane, Our rest stop volunteers Chelsea Lane & Paul Lane , Isabelle Fry & Bill Antle. The City of Mount Pearl Parking Enforcement, Tim's Hortons, NL Havanese social club and my beautiful family Dave Taylor, Jessie Theresa, Alexander Taylor, Theresa Hoyles & to each and everyone of you and all the furbabies and to Oreo our MS mascot. It was a beautiful day, I say it was a day that I won over MS. My heart is full ❤️🐾❤️🐾. Grand total raised will be posted in a few days

Also Paws 4 MS Walk was in memory of a dedicated volunteer Catherine Walsh. ❤️

S'MYELIN Warriors NL was delighted to be joined by City of St. John's Councillor Ron Ellsworth , Councillor Jamie Koran & MHA Paul Lane and members of S'Myelin Warriors NL as we raised the MS flag to bring Awareness to MS and proclaim May as MS Awarness Month. S'MYELIN Warriors NL flag was raised in memory of a dedicated volunteer the late Cathy Walsh. ❤️❤️

Tonight, May 2nd, Government House is glowing red in recognition of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month, supported by MS Canada, MS Society of Canada - Atlantic, & SMyelin Warriors NL to spread awareness of MS & to show people affected by MS that they are not alone.

MS is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. Over 90,000 Canadians are living with MS. According to MS Canada 12 Canadians are diagnosed daily with MS, & most people are diagnosed between 20 & 49 years old. Women are three times more likely to be diagnosed.
