Do you know someone who used first aid to save—or try to save—a life? Let’s celebrate their courage and compassion by nominating them for a Life-saving Award!

🏅 National Awards
- Gold Award: For saving or attempting to save a life with risk to the rescuer’s own life
- Silver Award: For saving or attempting to save a life without personal risk

🏆 Provincial Certificate of Commendation
- Recognizes individuals who provided support or assistance, with or without first aid, in a life-threatening situation

🙋 Who Can Be Nominated?
Anyone! Nominees do not need to be St. John Ambulance members or trainees

On July 19, our amazing St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog volunteers made a heartwarming visit to Bishops Gardens Seniors Living to join in the fun of a special Therapy Dog party!

Residents were treated to plenty of tail wags, cuddles, and companionship as our four-legged friends (and their dedicated handlers) spread joy and comfort throughout the celebration. These visits are more than just adorable—they make a real difference in emotional well-being and connection.

Owning a pet is a big responsibility. Our Pet First Aid course equips you with the skills to assist your companions when they’re sick or injured. First aid isn’t a replacement for the vet, but knowing how to act quickly can make all the difference.

Join St. John Ambulance NL for our Intermediate First Aid & Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED Training—a 2-day, in-depth course that equips you with life-saving skills needed in high-pressure situations.
