Recent reports from NL Health Services have highlighted an increase in cases of rhabdomyolysis linked to intense exercise.

It’s an important reminder:

More isn’t always better. In fact, less is more. Programming is key!

Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your health…

…but pushing too hard, too fast, without proper recovery can do more harm than good.

The goal of training should be:

• building strength
• improving energy
• supporting long-term health

Not leaving you completely drained or broken down.

Most workouts should leave you feeling:

“I could do that again.”

Not:
“I barely made it through.”

Smart training includes:

• proper programming
• adequate recovery
• hydration
• gradually increasing intensity

There’s a time to push hard — but it shouldn’t be every session.

Consistency over time will always beat extremes.

Train to build yourself up… not break yourself down.

Most people overcomplicate this…

or focus on the wrong things entirely.

Here’s what actually matters:
1. How well your body can use it
Not all protein is equal. Higher quality sources are absorbed and used more efficiently.
2. Ingredient quality
Less junk, fewer fillers, better results.
3. Digestibility
If it bloats you or upsets your stomach, it’s not the right protein.
4. Taste
If it doesn’t taste good, you won’t take it consistently.
5. Mixability
No one wants clumps.

With the current supply issues and rising costs, quality matters more than ever.

At the end of the day, the best protein is the one you can trust and take consistently.

ARE YOU EATING ENOUGH PROTEIN?

Protein is one of the most important nutrients for:

• maintaining muscle
• recovery after workouts
• staying strong and lean as we age

Yet most people still don’t get enough.

A simple guideline many people use:

0.7–1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day.

Example:

150 lb → 105–150g
180 lb → 125–180g
200 lb → 140–200g

The biggest mistake people make?

Thinking one high-protein meal is enough.

Protein should be spread throughout the day from foods like:

eggs
meat or fish
Greek yogurt
protein shakes
