Manual Osteopathy clinic located in St. John's, Newfoundland Osteopathy is considered a hybrid modality overlapping with physiotherapy and massage therapy.

Osteopathy is a system of health care focused on treatment of Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal conditions and injuries. The World Health Organization(WHO) recognized the Osteopathic concept as being scientifically proven, and the British Medical Association also recognizes OMT as a discrete medical discipline. Here are some of the conditions treated by osteopathy

Taking time to understand the individual needs and goals of each person, and how influences such as occupation, recreation personal factors and past and present injuries and illnesses may affect a person's current state of health. Assessments times vary based on patient and practitioner. We are a team of 6 Manual Osteopaths all with unique backgrounds in health and fitness. Dr. Matt Gibbons PhD,DO(EU),DN,BSc,DOMP, DCMOEB, CPTS. Osteopathic Manual Practitioner/Doctor of Osteopathy and a Doctor of Naprapathy practicing evidence based manual therapy in Newfoundland.

I am the president of the Osteopathic & Naprapathic Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, Chair of Council on Education for the Canadian Naprapathic Association, a member of the International Osteopathic Association, the Ontario Osteopathic and Alternative Medicine Association, the Society of Osteopaths of Canada(previously), the National Manual Osteopathic Society, the National Osteopathic Practitioners Association, as well as a diplomate of the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board. Our practice has been built on helping individuals identify the source of their pain and mobility issues thus finding long-term solutions. Currently over 95% of insurance companies in Newfoundland cover OMT treatments.
