Have some wee babies to share🌱
Tomato plants $1 each (cherry, scotia and grape) and have a few swamp milkweed left ($5/container of 3 plants)🐛🦋

The milkweed is sprouting!🌱

I packaged these this year to give more bang for your buck, since I have lots of seeds! (If you’d just like seeds I have lots, can mail💌)

6-8 plants per container, $5 each

Annual ‘what made it through the winter in the cold frame’ report… arugula, swiss chard, lemonbalm, sorrel, dandelion, and the green of some onion think maybe an Egyptian walking onion I stuck in there (those even out of the coldframe had greens on them as soon as the snow melted.!🤯)

So there’s some cold hardy greens for ya!

Made this little salad all grown right here how cute is that🌱😍 Lettuce and baby kale from the sunporch (this lettuce is grown back from the roots of those live ones you can buy.. it works!)

Tasty tasty with tahini and pomegranate balsamic!👌🏽

Seedball success! This was fun and definitely something I can see doing with kids in my teaching future🌱
I used an approximately one to one ratio of clay soil and compost, and a good whack of seeds to mix in there.. I chose plants that are either native, have stunning flowers, are popular with pollinators, edible or medicinal, or in most cases a combination of these things!
Some are perennial, some biennial, and some annual so it really is a mixed bag of mystery as to what you’re going to get this year and down the road.. lots of potential!
Many of the seeds are from wildflowers that require a cold period to break their dormancy, so my idea was that you can plop these around where you want your mystery flowers to come up before winter is over, so they get that cold time needed and will germinate when the time is right. Other seeds in there don’t need that though so will be an experiment I guess to see what all comes up! In retrospect I could have kept those separate and done different balls with different sowing times.. maybe next time! I can always make custom balls too I suppose.

So these ones contain seeds of:
swamp milkweed
hollyhock
african daisy
anise hyssop
echinacea
poppy - salmon, red, blue breadseed
columbine (pink/purple)
marigold
sunset hibiscus
cowslip primrose (yellow)
goldenrod
evening primrose
mullein
fireweed
red russian kale
tulsi
savoury
parsley

If you’d like to try your luck with these little mudballs with big potential I’ll be parting with them at 3/$5 or 7/$10:)

So this is a bit of an old news post, but since I never posted here (just on my personal page) I do want to get it on here just to keep track of the products..

So back at the beginning of the year I used up all my 2023 herbs to make some tried and true blends.. tastier this year though I find with the addition of the anise hyssop and lavender💜

immuniTEA - herbs to boost immune and help fight colds and flu - echinacea, lemonbalm, goldenrod, yarrow, dandelion root, mint, nettle seed & leaf, lavender, mugwort, blackberry leaf, meadowsweet, thyme, oregano, calendula, anise hyssop

cycliciTEA - to support a woman before and during her period - raspberry leaf, violet, chocolate mint, sweetfern, mugwort, anise hyssop, chamomile, scullcap, nettle seed & leaf, lavender, lemonbalm

sereniTEA - herbs that soothe the nervous system, promoting sleep, reduced anxiety etc - lavender, chamomile, nettle seed, mugwort, tulsi, lemonbalm, chocolate mint and regular mint, scullcap, catnip, anise hyssop

bath TEA - goldenrod, horsetail, lavender, comfrey, prairie sage, calendula, chamomile, yarrow, meadowsweet

dream bundles - prairie sage, mugwort, lavender stems

Bath tea has herbs that benefit hair nails and skin and is meant to put a bag of in your bath, or you can brew as a tea and then keep in the fridge in a spray bottle for a really nice smelling soothing skin spray!

The dream bundle you can use your imagination/ research the herbs.. they all seemed to have magical qualities relating to sleep and dreams, so I made this with intention that you can just have one near your bed and see what happens✨ You could also use as a smudge stick.

I grow and wild harvest all of these herbs, selecting only the best and drying carefully for high quality stuff! This year I was gifted two of these herbs, both in fresh form so I dried myself, the meadowsweet and the lavender. Thank you Tracy and Yogi!

The sereniTEA and immuniTEA sold out quickly but I do have a jar of cycliciTEA and some bath tea left if anyone would like. And one dream bundle:)

Kitty “helped” me get my seeds sorted last night 🙄😸 ..and now with this glorious snow day I should be able to get the seeds to share list typed up and seed balls made today!
Excited about these seed balls.. set aside 18 different wildflower and edible and medicinal herb seeds to stick into these babies that will offer the potential of stunning success to even the laziest of gardeners, for years to come! Haha.. potential! We’ll see how these play out, it’s new to me..
