I have been a Registered Aromatherapist, as well as a Hospice Volunteer, for the last 20 years and I have seen firsthand how scent can provide comfort and relaxation to those experiencing grief and loss.

In this short course I created, you will:
*gain an understanding of the different types and stages of grief
*understand how grief can affect one physically and emotionally
*see how the olfactory system can soften the emotions of grief and how aromatherapy can be an effective support tool
*understand how grief transforms us and how we can companion those grieving
*know how to support yourself and others through the practice of self-care

Our sense of smell is indeed a potent and powerful sense that can help us transform. Its connection to the limbic system in the brain, responsible for memory and emotion, is key in the sense of smell's ability to help calm our nervous system and settle our emotions.
