A very significant contribution to T.R.I.P is working with Parts approach. Most people effected by trauma have parts ( like subpersonalities) which becomes instantly obvious when we use the switching.
Frequently the left eye has a different experience, perspective, feeling, or body sensation than the right eye.
Understanding this is related to "wounded parts" and protectors ( managers and reactive parts).
This is why exploring the narrative on each side is crucial before trying to do eye movement to " integrate".
Where there is a lack of compassion or fear between parts, integration can't occur

This is a review of a therapist in Santa Cruz who tried out a TRIP session with me on the weekend.

I was fortunate to have a session with Monique Hoving-Smeets and to learn more about the T.R.I.P. process. Monique has found a way to combine several powerful models, creating a brilliant blend of integrative trauma healing! Surprisingly, it seems that many, if not most, therapists have received little, if any, training in trauma treatment. Yet, everyone experiences trauma and it underlies many of the challenges our clients are seeking to address. Unfortunately, clients can stay stuck, or even retraumatized, by well-intentioned therapists without the proper tools.

My session with Monique was the first time I felt deeply relaxed in a very long time. She also taught me an easy, efficient, and enjoyable exercise tailored to my individual nervous system that I can practice on my own. I feel strongly that it will become one of my go-to tools for self-regulation. Monique is clearly on a mission to help as many people as possible be able to relax and heal.

Thanks, Cynthia Baker, LMFT

Welcome to this community page of those therapists that have either taken TRIP Level 1 or 2 or are interested to learn more about it.
I will post experiences of the TRIP process whilst protecting clients info of course! To offer you a sense of what is possible, what are some of the challenges and what are some of the beautiful and miraculous outcomes that this process offers.

If you have questions or able to share some of your experiences yourself (again highest protection of confidentiality) that would be awesome. If the questions are too in-depth booking a consultation may be more relevant.
