This might just look like a tree, but it holds a significant moment for me.

The first arbutus tree I ever saw, on my only trip to Vancouver Island before moving here. I remember lingering with it and thinking, I’m going to live somewhere that has this tree one day.

I had no idea then that I actually would, or that I’d build a life and a practice here, nourished by this place and the people in it!
