🌿 The Science of Gratitude 🌿

Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good habit — it’s science-backed wellness for the whole family. Studies show that practicing gratitude can rewire the brain, boost dopamine and serotonin, reduce stress, improve sleep, and increase empathy.

đź’› Family Gratitude Practice Ideas:
• Start your day by sharing one thing you’re thankful for around the breakfast table.
• Keep a family “gratitude jar” — write little notes about moments that made you smile.
• At bedtime, ask: “What’s one good thing that happened today?”
• Model thankfulness out loud — kids learn by seeing us practice it too.

The more we focus on what’s going right, the more our brains tune into connection, joy, and resilience. Gratitude truly helps families thrive together.

It’s a day to reflect, to listen, and to commit to walking together in truth and healing. May we teach our children the importance of remembrance, empathy, and action—because reconciliation begins with each of us. 🧡

đź’ˇ One of my favorite conversations to have with young clients is about the superpowers of ADHD.

So often, ADHD is only talked about in terms of challenges — scattered attention, emotional flooding, anxiety, rejection sensitivity. And yes, those struggles are real and valid. But that’s not the whole story.

When kids learn to regulate, lean into their strengths, and feel supported, ADHD can shine as:
✨ Creativity
✨ Empathy
✨ Passion & drive
✨ Innovation
✨ Humor
✨ Leadership

The same brain that feels “too much” at times also has the capacity for incredible insight, intuition, and connection. 🌱

As parents, educators, and therapists, one of the most powerful gifts we can give our kids is helping them see themselves through the lens of strength — not deficit. ADHD is not a flaw, it’s a different wiring. And with the right support, it can be a superpower. 🦸

💬 If you’re raising or working with a child with ADHD, what strength do you notice shining the brightest?

✨ As parents, one of the most important truths we can share with our children is this:

“You are imperfect, and you’re wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.” – Brené Brown 💛

Our kids don’t need to be flawless. They don’t need to “earn” our love or prove their worth. What they need most is to see us modeling unconditional acceptance — reminding them (and ourselves) that mistakes, struggles, and imperfections are all part of being human.

When we live this truth out loud, our children learn that no matter what, they are enough exactly as they are. 🌱

💬 What’s one way you remind your child that they are worthy of love and belonging?

Anyone else need a digital detox? 🙋‍♀️📵
I know I do. The constant scroll can take a real toll — on our mood, our focus, our relationships… and especially on our kids, who are always watching us. Modeling healthy screen habits isn’t just good for us — it’s powerful for them.

✨ More presence
✨ Less comparison
✨ Better sleep
✨ And a lot more peace.

Let’s normalize putting the phone down. For ourselves and for the little eyes learning from us. 💛
