Active Breathwork is an intentional, rhythmic breathing practice designed to support emotional release, mental clarity, and overall well-being. Through guided breathing, participants activate the respiratory system in a way that moves energy, eases tension, and releases emotional blockages. By stimulating the nervous system and temporarily shifting CO₂ levels in the body, Active Breathwork can create powerful shifts in both mindset and physical state.
Often used for its transformative effects, Active Breathwork fosters deep relaxation, emotional healing, and heightened self-awareness.
We are excited to welcome Deanne Miachika, a yoga and breathwork facilitator who recently moved to Nanaimo from Scottsdale, Arizona. Deanne’s teaching blends science, spirit, and accessibility, creating a space for deep release and grounded calm. Her approach helps people reconnect to their bodies, pause, and breathe — returning to themselves with clarity and ease.
