They say music is a science, yes! Pythagoras is considered to have created the theory of music by combining intervals and mathematical calculations to create notes for the major scale. But perhaps only Leonard Bernstein, in his famous Harvard speech, [ The Unanswered Question 1973 ] truly explained why and how. Through his explanation of the harmonic series, he demonstrated the scientific basis of music theory.
However, he also noted something profound:
"What we calculate and explain or try to explain through music theory of Pythagoras, only appreciators of Indian music can feel it, they can demonstrate any mood through their scales, which they call Raaga. And a Raaga is not just a scale; it's something more. If you can't appreciate or feel it, it will put you to sleep in a few minutes. "
After observing how a harmonic series and a conch shell are similar, I feel that this connection and our ancient understanding of music may lead to this deeper understanding. Our ancestors understood everything before the father of music theory, Pythagoras.
The only word that is coming to my mind after watching this picture is PANCHAJANYA.

Monasterio Sound Healing has been invited to participate in a Sacred Union of Love today. 🎵

Firstly, I just Love celebrating Love ❤️
Secondly, I’ve been preparing for days and all the warm juicy feelings flow through me with force and power.

Connecting people through the power of music and sound is one of my greatest joys in life. What an absolute honour it is for me to be part of such a special moment in time!

Doubtful I’ll make it through the first four beats in the bar without tears streaming down my face!

I’ll be sure to remain professional, but damn the pulse of the song touches every place in my heart!

Envoking daddy and Juliet’s rhythms on this ethereal day of LOVE!

I’ll be sure to share the music 🎶 tomorrow, for those that are curious to be heart-touched 🎶

There was a time when standing in front of a room of people would give me major anxiety. My voice would quiver, and the heart would pound loudly as I’d try to speak with confidence.

Over the past 6 years of facilating large group events, I have gotten more comfortable with being vulnerable and have learned to speak with purpose from the heart.

Yesterday, I walked into a room full of doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, scientists and other professional occupations with courage and focus. Strong and vibrant in presence, I felt proud of how far I have come.

The sound session was powerful and delivered an array of experience. Some people felt deep emotion, while others laid still in peace. A perfect spectrum of feeling.

After my offering, I was invited to stay for the graduation luncheon. I learned of so many fascinating humans, doing important work to bring healing ❤️‍🩹 to the people.

What a gift 🎁 it was for me to make these connections!
I am seriously excited to have branched into the University/Professional world and for the opportunity. The next chapter of Monasterio Sound Healing looks to be very expansive!

This experiential workshop takes the participants through a sonic massage, created to enhance the healing effects of self-induced sounds, guided meditation and music that tantalizes the auditory experience.
