We are excited to invite our alumni community back to the beautiful EHN Edgewood Nanaimo grounds for our annual Alumni Picnic. This is a chance to reconnect, catch up, and spend some relaxed time together in a familiar and welcoming space.

Join us for an afternoon of good food and great company. We’ll have the grill going with burgers and hot dogs, along with vegetarian and gluten‑free options. There is no cost to attend.

Beyond the food, this day is about community. Come enjoy lawn games, the dunk tank, the photo booth, and plenty of opportunities to laugh, share stories, and create new memories with fellow alumni, staff, friends, and family.

Bring a picnic blanket, bring your loved ones, and come celebrate how far you’ve come.

Alumni, friends and families — let’s kick off the season together with a full-day trip on December 13!

We’ll meet at Edgewood Nanaimo at 11:30 a.m., visit the Hand of Man Museum, grab a bite on the road, and then wander through the stunning Twelve Days of Christmas displays at Butchart Gardens. Think twinkling lights, festive music, carolers, and all the holiday vibes.

Tickets are just $30 and include:
-Round-trip bus
-Entry to Hand of Man Museum
-Admission to Butchart Gardens

Meals are not included so bring spending money for dinner.

We are excited to invite you to Recovery Day at EHN Edgewood Nanaimo on Thursday, September 18th, 2025- A day to celebrate hope, strength and the recovery journey for our patients, alumni and staff.

Here’s what we have planned:
-Lunch will be provided in Bridges from 12-1 pm.
-At 1:15pm we will gather to listen to an inspiring speaker who will share their recovery journey.
-At 2:00pm we’ll dive into a fun scavenger hunt. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team and the team with the most team spirit!

The Solstice invites reflection, renewal, and gratitude for the past year’s lessons, while welcoming the return of light and new beginnings.

Even in darkness, light returns. As we reflect, we honour the land, our connections, and the wisdom of Indigenous knowledge keepers.
