We are excited to invite you to Recovery Day at EHN Edgewood Nanaimo on Thursday, September 18th, 2025- A day to celebrate hope, strength and the recovery journey for our patients, alumni and staff.

Here’s what we have planned:
-Lunch will be provided in Bridges from 12-1 pm.
-At 1:15pm we will gather to listen to an inspiring speaker who will share their recovery journey.
-At 2:00pm we’ll dive into a fun scavenger hunt. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team and the team with the most team spirit!

Today, we honour the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year and a sacred time for many cultures, including Indigenous communities across Canada.

The Solstice invites reflection, renewal, and gratitude for the past year’s lessons, while welcoming the return of light and new beginnings.

Even in darkness, light returns. As we reflect, we honour the land, our connections, and the wisdom of Indigenous knowledge keepers.

Celebrate by lighting a candle, practicing gratitude, or enjoying the winter outdoors. Wishing you a peaceful Winter Solstice.

We’ll start our day with a visit to Mayfair Shopping Centre or Downtown Victoria, then in the evening, we’ll head to Butchart Gardens to enjoy the stunning Twelve Days of Christmas light displays, sing along with Traditional Carolers, or listen to the Festive Brass.

All this for just $30 per person, which includes your round-trip bus fare and entry to Butchart Gardens. Meals are not provided.
