Discussing death and one's posthumous wishes is often avoided, but why should this topic be shunned? Normalizing this conversation is essential. As I age, I contemplate the ways I wish to be honored, remembered, and make the process easier for my loved ones after I pass. Having spent 21 years assisting individuals in designing cemetery monuments, I am passionate about my work, yet I rarely discuss it, especially when acquaintances have lost loved ones. This reluctance stems not from embarrassment, but from a fear of being misconstrued as promoting my business. I am working to overcome this hurdle. I recognize that dealing with loss is a delicate and emotional experience for families. With my extensive experience, I strive to provide support, offer options, and share solutions that may aid in the future. To this end, I am making a concerted effort to share information about my business, ensuring it is publicly accessible and encouraging individuals to reach out with questions or seek advice. I will also provide insights and guidance to facilitate this process, highlighting key considerations. I invite individuals to connect with me via Messenger, email, phone, or Zoom, whichever method is most convenient.
