Our Story

Nanaimo Lifeline is a Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation social enterprise that has been providing service to people in the communities of Central Vancouver Island, British Columbia, for over 30 years. Medically at risk individuals and people with disabilities are able to live independently with the help of Lifeline. Family caregivers, friends and neighbours experience improved peace of mind knowing a loved one has access to help 24 hours a day at the push of a button. How It Works: -Healthcare professionals refer patients to Lifeline who are concerned about a possible fall or other health risk. -Professional monitoring staff at Nanaimo Lifeline response centres will quickly assess the situation and link the caller to appropriate help. Lifeline Benefits: -Continue living in the comfort of your own home -Prompt, caring assistance at the touch of a button - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year Security and peace of mind for you and your family
