🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COREY! 🎉☀️

It was Corey’s birthday this week, and we’re celebrating not just another year — but the growth he’s shown as a clinician and as a teammate here at Pacific Station.

Over time, Corey has really found his stride: a thoughtful clinician, a dependable team player, and someone who shows up with consistency and great energy. His love for the outdoors, running, staying fit, and tackling big hikes mirrors the mindset he brings into the clinic every day. 🏃‍♂️🏔️

February sunshine or not — soak up those rays, Corey ☀️
We’re lucky to have you as part of our Pacific Station team and excited to keep building together.

From the Advanced Health + Sports Clinic community — give Corey some birthday love! 👇🎂

Healthcare doesn’t stand still, and neither does this team.

Behind the scenes, clinicians spend time studying, discussing, and learning together. They stay current with evolving research, clinical guidelines, and best practices so the care provided reflects where healthcare is today, not where it used to be.

That ongoing learning allows the team to adapt to new evidence, better understand emerging health trends, and make thoughtful, informed decisions for the people they support.

It’s quiet work.

But it’s a meaningful part of continually raising the standard of care.

Certified care you can trust 💚

That extra level of certification means more confidence in your movement, smarter clinical decisions, and care that’s backed by deeper understanding and experience.

Have you worked with Ben or Brittany before? Tag them or share your experience in the comments! And follow us to learn more about the team and how we help you feel stronger and move better every day 💪

Ever wish you could take the guesswork out of strength testing? That’s exactly why we use VALD ForceDecks 🏋️‍♂️📊

We get objective strength data instead of just “how it feels.”
We can see right vs left side differences.
We track real progress you can see in the numbers.
We measure force curves, not feelings.

For athletes and active people who love numbers, this gives real clarity on where you’re at and where you’re headed. For clinicians, it means smarter return‑to‑play decisions, catching deficits before they turn into injuries, and having receipts for every step of progress.

Tag an athlete who loves tracking data and follow us for more tools that help you move stronger and smarter 💪

Big shout-out to for a strong Day 1 of the Upper Extremity Mulligan – January 2026 course.

Huge thanks to Erik Schmidt (MScPT, FCAMPT) for an excellent day of instruction — clear clinical reasoning and practical takeaways across fingers, hands, wrists, elbows, and the cervical spine.

This course has been in the works since 2024, and it’s been great to finally see it come together. Mulligan remains one of the true hallmark names in global physiotherapy education, and it’s an honour to be the first local clinic to host this group.

Day one didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to diving into the rest of the upper-quadrant content tomorrow.
Stay tuned 👀

Behind the scenes, our clinicians spend a lot of time learning, questioning, and refining how they practice — all so the care you receive stays thoughtful, current, and evidence-informed.

Recently, Ben Franz (Parksville Physio) completed advanced CCMI training as part of that ongoing commitment.

It’s not about collecting certifications.
It’s about staying curious, sharpening clinical reasoning, and continuing to raise the standard of care for the people we work with.

We’re proud of the work our team puts in — both in the clinic and outside of it

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEN! 🎉💪

Only a few weeks in (barely a month!), and Ben has already made a huge impression on our team and community.

From day one, he’s brought great energy, strong work ethic, and genuine connection — with teammates, colleagues, and patients alike. You can tell right away this guy’s got good vibes and a bright future ahead of him. 🌱

New to the Island, fresh out of physio school and already feeling right at home here. Vancouver Island, keep your eye on this one. 👀🏔️

We’re lucky to have you, Ben, and excited to watch you grow, grind, and build something special here for years to come.

From all of us at Advanced Health + Sports Clinic — Happy Birthday, Ben! 🎂🔥
Show him some love 👇👇👇

How could we when we get to hear these?

These moments are why we do what we do.

Not just to treat injuries but to help people return to the parts of life that matter most to them.

That never gets old.

Concussion symptoms don’t always come in dramatic moments. Sometimes they show up quietly and stick around longer than you expect.

👉 headache or pressure in the head
- often described as “foggy” or heavy

👉 difficulty concentrating or feeling slowed down
- trouble focusing, multitasking, or keeping track of conversations

👉 sensitivity to light or noise
- screens, busy rooms, or bright lights feel overwhelming

👉 fatigue or low energy
- even simple tasks feel more draining than usual

👉 dizziness or feeling off-balance
- especially with movement or busy visual environments

👉 irritability or emotional changes
- feeling more frustrated, flat, or overwhelmed than normal

👉 trouble sleeping
-difficulty falling asleep or feeling unrested after sleep

If this sounds familiar, don’t just wait and hope it goes away on its own. Tag someone who might need this info, and follow us for more real‑world concussion insights and recovery tips 🧠✨

“Let’s just wait and see” sounds reasonable, but in rehab it often delays progress ⏳

Most injuries don’t improve just by avoiding movement

Without the right guidance, tissues lose strength, confidence drops, and sneaky compensation patterns start to show up

Rehab isn’t about rushing. It’s about doing the right things early — restoring movement, building capacity, and teaching your body how to adapt again 🏃‍♀️

Waiting can feel safe. Guided movement is usually what actually moves recovery forward

2016 throwback.
Different era, same energy.

A year or so out of grad school — learning tons, chasing curiosity, and having a lot of fun along the way. In some ways it feels like yesterday… in others, a lifetime ago.

Not the beginning, but definitely an early chapter worth remembering.
Grateful for the journey, the people, and the ride so far.

This 2016 throwback trend is a fun one — can’t wait to see what everyone else shares.

Happy weekend, y’all ✌️
Gratitude 🙏

Ever wonder how the brain relearns movement after injury? 🧠💡

It comes down to neuroplasticity. Your brain can adapt, change, and build new pathways even after setbacks. It learns by doing, not by watching or resting.

That’s why rehab focuses on movement, repetition, and feedback. Every step, stretch, or reach is teaching your brain something new. The more meaningful the movement, the stronger the connection.

Recovery is not just about waiting. It’s about showing up, moving with intention, and training your brain as much as your body.
