✨ ELEVATE PHYSIOTHERAPY IS LIVE ✨

This beauty has been in the works for months (or years depending how you look at it) and it’s finally here! I am SO excited to welcome “anyone with a pelvis”!

While my clinical focus has not changed, I am just in a new location with a fantastic collaboration .community.midwives and .and.flow.osteo

I will continue to offer pelvic health for all ages (kids too!), genders, non binary, or however you want to identify. I will also be offering general Pediatric support (plagiocephaly, torticollis, breastfeeding support for infant contributions, gross motor support and everything in between). Support from birth to 19 (or beyond!)

Leaking, constipation, pain with in*******se, low back pain, hip pain, perinatal support, support for activity, menopause, perimenopause (the list goes on)! With this new location also comes more hours and more availability 😍

Strength and conditioning with a pelvic health focus? Got that too!!

I do want to recognize that I work with individuals who have pregnancy loss, infertility, infant loss and different identities. If you are not comfortable seeing me in a perinatal setting, I have another office option 🤍🤍 just let me know when booking!

As I continue to learn and develop as a clinician I always come back around this quote and am reminded that the things that go unsaid are the most impactful.

Today marks the end of an Era! I started my career in paediatrics at the Nanaimo Child Development centre and today I walk out the door for the last time as an employee.
Most of you know me under my pelvic health umbrella but most of my time is actually spent working with kiddos from birth to 18 on all of their gross motor, developmental and physical needs.
I have absolutely LOVED my time at the NCDC, getting to support families in different capacities.

While I am leaving this position, there are big changes on the horizon! I will still be offering paediatrics privately 🤍

Looking forward to continuing to offer support.

This little girl didn’t know it but 30 years later she would love to talk all things pelvic health and paediatrics.

Today was a day filled with grief, love, community and some more love 🤍

Today was the in Nanaimo ()

Today we held space and built community for all those experiencing infertility, pregnancy and infant loss 🦋

Today I held my daughter, Lily, even closer in my heart and wished so deeply our story was different.

I am honoured to be the Chair for the Vancouver Island Butterfly Run and help in whatever capacity I can to end the stigma and remember our babies.

We had a ton local vendors out to support our community too including

And so many more! I encourage you to support these company’s that hold space for myself and other families experiencing loss.

🍂 September comes with a lot of change and busy schedules 🏃‍♀️

For me, it means being back in the classroom! Did you know I also work as a sessional instructor at VIU in the Kinesiology department?

Knowledge translation is one of my favourite roles as a physiotherapist and helping guide other health care providers (or aspiring ones) just lights me up!

What does the fall include for you?

Tomorrow I’ll be chatting with over 250 delegates, mostly family physicians and nurse practitioners about Constipation 💩 and OASIS Rehabilitation (tearing during vaginal delivery)
