Watch for these warning signs…
Sudden sensitivity; products that used to feel fine start to sting or feel tight on the skin.
Redness that lingers; not just a flush, but ongoing blotchiness, redness, or warmth.
Your makeup isn’t sitting right; separation, pills, or clinging to dry patches.
Flaking and congestion; dry skin but your pores are also congested = imbalance.
If you’re seeing these signs, it’s time to pause, simplify, and go back to the basics.

Nanaimo Elements first opened its doors in the spring of 2013.
After operating aesthetic salons for more than 30 years in Nanaimo, most recently in a home-based environment, I yearned for a greater vision. I envisioned a Holistic Centre where clients could access services and products representing the intersection of health and beauty. The very best in aesthetic services, product lines at the forefront of skincare technology with an organic focus, and access to complementary paramedical services such as Registered Massage Therapy – all of this in a beautiful upscale salon.
In a few short years, Elements has become the destination for health and beauty in Nanaimo. We are proud to be voted "Best of the City" in the Aesthetics, Massage and Spa categories. We are already one of the top distributors of our flagship skincare product lines: Laboratoire Dr Renaud and Eminence Organics. And we have recently started to carry the internationally renowned line, Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup. We have a wonderful team of service providers and support staff, and continue to offer only the very best in products and services.
I have been practicing as a professional aesthetician since 1981; a time when the industry was appropriately regulated and before the days of mass marketed skincare products promising miracles. Success in skincare requires patience and commitment – it is not instantaneous. 50% of a successful outcome relates to consistent use of appropriate and effective product (including sunscreen), and the balance to regular and ongoing attention from a professional aesthetician.
I am personally fully booked, but I have a wonderful team of aestheticians who work collaboratively with me to ensure my standards are always met.
We constantly strive to improve, with an unprecedented focus on ongoing training and development for our staff. Our goal is simple – to offer our clients a superior experience – the best in professional services and products and exceptional value. Thank you to our wonderful clients for making this vision come true.
