Well, hello everyone!
Just wanted to mention there is a holiday between Halloween and Christmas that you may not be familiar with.
On November 23, less than 2 weeks from Krampusnacht, there is Wolfenoot.
Wolfenoot, you say? Yes.
In these days where cruelty and tribalism have taken such a strong foothold in our lives, sometimes we have to honour the wisdom of a (then) 7 year-old who invented this new holiday back in 2018.

Hello everybody!
Halloween is almost put away until next year.
We want to thank everyone who braved the weather to come visit.
Our final total for visitors was 672, which is down quite a bit from any previous year, but given the weather, we're not too surprised.
Because of you lovely people, we will be donating $877 to be split between the Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation and the Kidney Foundation of Canada (BC and Yukon branch).
Hopefully next year we will have better weather!

The page slows down this time of year, but remember Krampusnacht is approaching, so behave yourselves!

Finally caught a breath of fresh air and did a walkthrough of what is left. Most of the crew have returned home and it's just 3 of us for a few more days, then just the Gravekeeper and me.
When we "came home" from working with Island Haunt Productions in 2017, we swore we'd spend no more than 1 week to set up and one day to tear down. 🤣🤣🤣
Seems we aren't good at keeping things simple. We've been putting in several hours a day for the lasts week tearing down, drying out, and hauling upstairs and we are so very tired and sore. We have a couple things left to dry out that we just got inside today, and a few big heavy things to drag up the 15 steps to the Halloween Room. Couldn't have done it without Psycho Jane
We still have to disassemble Grandma's table, haul it back to the dining room, and then reassemble both the dining AND dying rooms.
Maybe by next weekend I will have my house back to some semblance of "normal"!
