Meet the crew:
Courtney Grayston has been with TMS since the early days!! In fact she was the 6th person we ever hired. Today Courtney handles the Kamloops office for TMS, is the operations supervisor for wildfire deployments and is a busy mom. She has been one of the driving forces of TMS advocating for benefits for employees to ensuring trucks leave the yard with even the smallest parts of a kit list. We hope to see Courtney’s portfolio grow in the near future and are excited to see her take on the new challenges!

In six years we have gone from 37 and 18 to more than 12 units that are moving around the province on daily taskings. Some ambulances in these pictures have been retired but the essence of what we are remains. 2024 has brought so many challenges but we have managed to create a true legacy of changing lives of medics for the better and ensuring premium care is delivered to the patients we treat.
Here’s looking up to 2025 and hopefully some more success as we carry on with hope and determination.

Meet the team:

Kailey and Heather joined the Extension Volunteer Fire Department in 2016. When they joined, they became the 2nd and 3rd female members of the department and met TMS owners Ashley and Eric who had joined just one year ahead. Together, they became fully certified members of the Extension Fire Team. They even obtained their Swift water rescue technician and OFA3 among other certifications.
They joined the TMS team in 2021 to support the Transmountain pipeline. They have never left, and enjoy driving “big red” whenever they are tasked out.
In their off time they can be found near the Nanaimo River sunbathing or swimming. Ever the comedians they asked that this section be started with “have you ever been with sisters”. Heather and Kailey are strong members of the TMS team and very likely will be one of the ladies assigned to your event to ensure you are receiving the Best Care, Anywhere

I’m going to speak as an individual right now.
I find it is more personal this way.
I am absolutely devastated to hear about the death of another firefighter making the total 9 (including one pilot) in the last 18 months.
I know my heart and the hearts of all of the TMS team go out to albertawildfire for this pain. No one deserves to die when they go to work. Least of all those who work in service of others.
This individual was doing a job that contains risk. I am so proud of the men and women that sign on the dotted line indicating they understand these risks. You are all doing such a service to this country. Thank you.
To the families that are affected: I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that you can find peace in the years to come.

Condolences,

Eric Brand

The rare and elusive unit 12 as seen out in the wild.
This unit has some character on her still but it’s pretty rare for it to be seen deployed.
Unit 12 was bought for the Transmountain Pipeline but now, generally, calls Nanaimo its home.
This week you may see it out in Kamloops before it returns to its home.

The TMS team is out in the province on various projects this week. It’s possible you may see these trucks on the highway or parked on a site, maybe even at a grocery store. If you get the chance to see the crew out doing their jobs, take a moment to say hi and check out the fleet!
If you want a professional, prideful and high quality team on your site please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@tacticalmedicalservice.ca!
