In anticipation of AVI Nanaimo's 30th anniversary December 1st (and my retirement next summer) I have transferred my vintage T-shirt collection (HIV, Hep C, harm reduction, pride and First Nations) pinback buttons, postcards and other memorabilia over to AVI.

We're planning a display of the timeline of the last 30+ years. To that end we're looking for donations of relevant T-shirts, pinback buttons and picture frames.

(drop in for one or both sessions! RSVP not mandatory but appreciated)
📍 Location: AVI Health Centre, #102 55 Victoria Rd, Nanaimo
(ring the clinic doorbell with the black gate next to the parking lot)
🥗 Refreshments provided (vegan/vegetarian options available)

Join AVI and fellow service providers and frontline workers for a free, drop-in community event focused on Hepatitis C awareness, prevention, and care.

This is a great opportunity to:
✅ Expand you & your organizations knowledge, with the most up-to-date info about Hep C.
✅ Understand barriers to care for underserved and at-risk populations.
✅ Receive training on how to administer community based Hepatitis C test kits (no healthcare background required!).
✅ Connect with other healthcare providers, service providers, and frontline workers who care about community health.
✅ Learn about prevention/harm reduction strategies and treatment approaches.
✅ Explore local resources and referral pathways.
✅ Get answers to questions you may have around Hep C.

Whether you work in healthcare, outreach, housing, advocacy, or more— your presence and collaboration helps build a stronger, more informed support network for the people we collectively serve.
