2024 Seniors Expo
When: Saturday, April 27, 2024
Where: Unison at Kerby Centre, 1133–7 Avenue S.W. Calgary, Alberta
Cost: FREE
The Expo offers a full day of fun for the 50+ with more than 60 trade-show booths, information sessions & entertainment featuring an impressive variety of products, services and information for older adults and their families. Approximately 2,000 people attended this one-day event last year, making it a must-see annual event for the 50+ in Calgary.

April 16 is Advance Care Planning Day
It’s about conversations. It’s about wishes.
It’s how we care for each other.
Advance Care Planning is about having conversations with family and friends, especially your Substitute Decision Maker – the person who will speak for you if you cannot speak for yourself in case of a health emergency. It may also include writing down your wishes, and talking with healthcare providers and financial or legal professionals.

"In Alberta, caregivers are the foundation of community care, providing an average of 70% of care outside of healthcare or assisted living residences. When loved ones do end up transitioning to supportive living or continuing care to get more support, caregivers still provide 35% or more of the care they receive."
