Today is Red Dress Day, a national day to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+). The red dress stands as a powerful symbol of the lives lost and the ongoing need for action against the violence disproportionately impacting Indigenous communities.

We remember those taken too soon and stand in solidarity with families, survivors, and communities. Together, we raise awareness, advocate for justice, and work toward a future free from violence.

Today, the Kingston Native Centre and Language Nest is hosting an exhibit to acknowledge the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people, along with a Sacred Fire and a beading workshop. See their poster for more details.
