Starting this fall, we’re launching the Otago Exercise & Connection Program in-person and virtually in 6 rural communities: Newburgh, Tamworth, Sydenham, Verona, Northbrook, and Sharbot Lake.

The Otago Exercise Program can reduce your risk of falling by improving muscle strength, flexibility, balance and reaction time. This Otago program will be delivered by the RFLA Allied Health Team kinesiologist in collaboration with the AVOID Frailty Program.

The program is best suited for people who:
• Are at risk for falling or have fallen in the past year
• Have muscle and balance difficulty
• Walk with OR without a walking aid
