How do early experiences shape us into adulthood? This free virtual workshop series explores the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on mental health, relationships, physical well-being, and life opportunities — and how we can build resilience and heal.

👏 Big congratulations to Jennifer Snyder, Privacy Officer at Kingston Community Health Centres, and Simeon Kanev from the Alliance for Healthier Communities!

They recently gave a talk at the 2025 IAPP Canadian Privacy Symposium in Toronto called “Achieving Privacy Compliance in Primary Healthcare During Challenging Times.”

Their session was the highest rated of the whole event, which had over 1,000 people from across Canada!

Their work highlights how CHCs are navigating privacy in a rapidly changing digital health landscape through collaboration, innovation, and real-world strategies.

Starting this fall, we’re launching the Otago Exercise & Connection Program in-person and virtually in 6 rural communities: Newburgh, Tamworth, Sydenham, Verona, Northbrook, and Sharbot Lake.

The Otago Exercise Program can reduce your risk of falling by improving muscle strength, flexibility, balance and reaction time. This Otago program will be delivered by the RFLA Allied Health Team kinesiologist in collaboration with the AVOID Frailty Program.

The program is best suited for people who:
• Are at risk for falling or have fallen in the past year
• Have muscle and balance difficulty
• Walk with OR without a walking aid
