Measles is highly contagious. If you or your child has symptoms, do not go directly to the ER or a healthcare clinic unless it is an emergency.

📢 Exciting News!

Dr. Paradis will be returning from parental leave one day per week starting January 27. Dr. Eleche will continue caring for her patients during this transition. Dr. Paradis will return full-time on March 23, 2026.

Appointments are now available from January-May. Patient’s are encouraged to book!

📣 Dr. Jawed has made several changes to her schedule that have significantly improved her availability to see patients daily, or within a day or two. Patients are encouraged to call in to book appointments.

Manitoba is eliminating sick notes! Government officials confirmed today that legislation will eliminate sick notes for any absences of 7 consecutive days or less. This will be the strongest standard in Canada. With over 600,000 sick notes requested per year in Manitoba, eliminating them will free up doctors to see more patients. This is good for patients, good for doctors, and good for Manitoba.

Thank you to the Manitoba government for listening to physicians and moving this forward.

Beginning Tuesday, the rules around employer-requested medical notes will change. It’s a welcome shift that will help reduce paperwork for physicians and make things easier for patients/employees.

Exciting news! 🎉 The Neepawa and Area Family Doctor Finder list has officially been cleared!

What does this mean?
It means every community member should now have a family physician (unless they have chosen to wait).

What if you don’t?
You may not have registered with the provincial Family Doctor Finder program. If anyone still does not have a family physician, please encourage them to register with FDF for future enrollment.

Please note: All physician practices are now closed to new patients.
