Yoga and hiking retreat with Footsteps Adventures 👣

When: Sept 20-23, Fri to Mon. 3 nights , 4 days

Where: Carlyle lodge, located in the Selkirk mountains. Hike in access from Sandon. 6km, 2000" elevation gain. Aprox time 3.5hrs

Details:
~Yoga twice a day with sunrise and sunset practice. Out door alpine meadow platform, and cozy indoor mediations. Varied styles led by Leah & Cailea

~Guided hikes each day of varied distances depending on weather and group dynamics. Fall will be cooler with less bugs with gorgeous larch stands turning gold 💛

~Shared lodge accomodation ( 2 to a room) Full kitchen, beds, pillows and duvets. Sauna and shower ☆participants bring their own linnens, ie: sleep sheet or light sleeping bag and pillow case.

~catered meals complete with appies and desserts. Portered in. ☆participants bring in their own breakfast and trail lunch items.

~the weekend is infused with ceremony and ritual around the autumn equinox and earth magic. 🤎

Its a big moon! Welcoming the worm moon! Some intense energy and stuff rising! Here is your reminder to be kind to yourself today be easy on yourself. Find some time to do something fun Ive been putting on some fun tunes and Just dancing Around moving My Body as if no ones watching! Feels good to shake it! Dont be too serious we need the outlet. Big shifts are happening if we open ourselves to them and whats coming up. Its not all rainbows and butterflies its past stuff its dark dreadful icky things we Like to run from that are being woke up. We get the opporunity to cross the bridges to heal old wounds. First we must find forgiveness in order to let go. Do what you need to in order to make amends then let it go release it from being store in your body in a negative way. When we do this inner work our outer worlds Will reflect back to us and help guide us forward Into what is next. Trust in it, listen to your heart and feel with your mind. And Know that you are not Alone in experiencing any of this! Hold sacred Space for yourself drop your judgement and seperate what isnt yours to fix.

What to expect!
Our class will begin with some breathing techniques and a short meditation to get out of your mind and Into your body. Starting to tune in and feel into that weeks energy center.
We will warm up the body activating some muscles associated with the chakra of the week and flow into gentle movement exploring each pose. Blocks, bolsters and straps will be available for assissting you throughout. We will come to stillness and allow Dr. Kevin Bendig of Samadhi Acupuncture to preform acupunture on each student in cordination to the chakra of focus. With time to relax and witness the treatment taking place. Following this we will repeat our gentle flow of movement to integrate and witness the adaptations of the body. We will find rest in our final pose of savasana to conclude the session. Leaving you feeling relaxed, at ease and dialed into your chakra. ❤️

Check this out very excited to be collaberating with my favourite acupuncturist. This man has changed my life in health in ways I didnt think were possible! Cant make all of them sign up for the ones you can or come get the full experience of all the sessions for less! You wont want to miss this.

Cailea is a practicing 500 Hour Hatha based yoga teacher as well as a Massage therapist with a background in Athletic Therapy. She has a tremendous love for the winter season and is an avid snowboarder, snowshoer and cross country skier. She brings her knowledge of the body, mind and spirit to a class designed to prepare your body for this winter season. Whether it is addressing injuries or preventing them it is important to start getting your body mobile and stable for this season.

Class Description
This 1 hour class will raise your excitement for this upcoming season. We will warm up the body and stay flowy to keep warm. With focus on noticing where your body is at preseason. We are looking to increase overall mobility in our neck, shoulders, spine, hips and knees as well as following it up with engaging more stability in our muscles. Allow this class to be your assessment tool to get yourself ready to shred safely! This class is appropriate to any level of movement practice. Bring your own mat, water, blanket and dress appropriately for the weather.

Join us for this incredible evening to move, relax and converse over a glass of wine or non alcoholic beverage. We will be holding the class outdoors beside the river on the grass. Please dress according to weather bringing a blanket or sweater if needed, your own mat, water bottle and perhaps a little bug spray. The class will be an hour long and following we will be providing everyone with one glass of wine or a non alcoholic beverage to mingle with other class participants for 30-45 mins. Starting at 6pm and finishing around 7:45pm. Directions to the location in Passmore will be provided upon registration for the class. Cailea is a practicing Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher in Nelson BC through her business Grounded Wellness and the Himalaya Salt Cave. She is 500hour trained in Hatha and Restorative Yoga. Her approach to yoga is to provide a safe and conscious class to address and accommodate injuries and limitations. Blocks and straps will be provided for use in assisting and strengthening your postures. Every class is an opportunity for you to explore your body to learn more about what it needs and how you can nurture it! The intention for this class will be to open and nurture our heart and throat chakras with focus on our neck, back and shoulders. Every level of yoga practice is welcomed!
