Part-Time Casual First Aid Instructor
Pictou County Area, Nova Scotia
As our course offerings expand we're looking for First Aid Instructors to work on a casual basis to offer training to the Northern Region of Nova Scotia. If you are passionate about educating others and have the desire to be a part of an amazing team, we encourage you to apply for this position. As a First Aid Instructor, you are responsible for teaching individuals the necessary skills to respond to emergency situations and provide immediate medical assistance. This is a rewarding opportunity to empower others in life-saving techniques.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct Canadian Red Cross first aid training sessions for public and private sessions.
* Act with honesty, integrity and transparency
* Ensure healthy teaching practices and prevention of disease transmission standards are adhered to at all times
* Cleans and prepares the facilities for the next training session
* Treat learners in a manner that maintains dignity and respects their religious beliefs, culture and customs
Experience:
* Previous experience in tutoring or teaching in a classroom setting would be a valuable asset, but not necessary
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
* Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage participants
* Reliability and Punctuality is a must
How to apply: Salary range is 20.00-30.00/hr depending on level of experience. Mileage is paid for out of town training. Current certification as a Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor is preferred however willing to train the right candidate should that person be the right fit for our growing team.
