Our very own Dr. Boutilier! Well deserved Nicole!!

Congratulations to Dr. Nicole Boutilier, Executive Vice President, Medicine and Clinical Operations, who was honoured by the Canadian Society of Physician Leaders with the 2026 Chris Carruthers Excellence in Medical Leadership Award.

The award cited Dr. Boutilier’s exemplary systems-level contributions to Nova Scotia healthcare, including measurable improvements in healthcare delivery; enhanced physician recruitment and retention; expanded access to care in rural and underserved areas; and a coordinated, data-informed approach to clinical operations. The award also recognized her values-driven leadership, commitment and impact within the physician community.

“She fosters a culture of collaboration, inclusion and shared purpose, where individuals and teams are empowered to achieve their best,” said co-nominator and colleague, Dr. Cheryl Pugh, Western Zone Medical Executive Director.

Oh, we love this!!! Any exercise you do with your feet will:
1. Strengthen….which helps prevent falls
2. Improve range of motion….which prevents falls
3. Reduce pain
4. Prevent deformities
