Last night we received our Stim Bin from Spectrum of Wonders, and although our visit was cut short by a fire call, it was a reminder that our firefighters are always ready to respond.

This Bin will equip our firefighters with calming, 3D-printed sensory fidgets to help create a more comfortable experience for kids and adults on the spectrum during emergency calls.

We’re grateful to Sam, Cora, and Spectrum of Wonders for their commitment to inclusion and for helping us to ensure every community member feels supported, respected, and understood. 💙

Tonight we got to deliver a Stim Bin to the Abercrombie Volunteer Fire Department and they got a fire call mid chat! Thankfully it was a false alarm and no one lost their home!

So... we took a photo with Monica who is the Vice President on the Board for the Abercrombie Volunteer Fire Department!😊 Thank you so much!

Thank you to everyone who dropped off non-perishable items and cash donations for our Holiday Firefighter Food Drive. Together, we donated 346.4lbs of food and personal hygiene products!

All donations will go directly to support the Pictou West and River John food banks.

This initiative was part of a collaborative effort among the fire departments in Pictou, River John, Scotsburn, West River, and Caribou, along with the Toney River Community Hall.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Fall Pancake Breakfast this morning at the Abercrombie Volunteer Fire Department. We truly appreciate the community coming together, sharing a meal, and helping support our department and the work we do.

Congratulations to our 50/50 winner, Joyce MacIntosh! The winnings were presented by our Board President, Harvey Stiles.
