Dr. Kara Laverdure, BHSc., D.C

Originally from the village of Newcastle, Ontario, Dr. Kara Laverdure spent most of her childhood competing as a national level Gymnast and trampolinest. Her athletic pursuits resulted in many sports injuries which in turn, introduced her to the world of therapeutic rehabilitation. Being cared for by chiropractors from a young age is what lead to her decision to pursue chiropractic as a career.

Dr. Kara graduated from Ontario Tech University (formerly U.O.I.T) in Oshawa, Ontario in 2014 with an Honours Bachelor of Health Science, specializing in Kinesiology. During her time at Ontario Tech she continued to compete as a member of the competitive cheerleading team. During her senior year, she was also an athletic trainer to the Durham College Men’s Baseball team.

Dr. Kara went on to continue her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in North York, where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2019. Here she gained the tools and knowledge necessary to become a well-rounded, evidence-based chiropractor.

Based on a love of the outdoors and small-town living, Dr. Kara decided to move to North-Western New Brunswick to begin her career. She currently practices in both Grand Falls and Woodstock. Dr. Kara’s practice style includes spinal and extremity manipulation, joint mobilization, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, exercise prescription and education.
