Gentle Reminder: We require a 48-hour notice to cancel or reschedule sessions.

Please note that although we try our best to accommodate, and apply compassion to extenuating circumstances, this policy allows us to manage our mischief and allows us to show up in the therapeutic space, fully and intentionally.

This policy is to promote communication between our clients and ourselves, and to encourage us to provide the best version of ourselves as therapists.

Please note that the Late Cancellation/ No Show fee is for the full service fee of a session. This is outlined in our Consent to Services (additional copies can be reforwarded to clients should it be required).

Thank you for understanding and honouring our terms of services. We look forward to continuing to share in the space in 2026.

Should you have any questions, please DM, call us (844)733-2023 or email us as mmpsychotherapy@outlook.com

Thank you!

Pillars of Mental Health are the foundations of which you build your overall well-being and function on.

These can be an excellent way of mapping your road back to the basics, especially when life gets overwhelming and complicated. If we find ourselves off kilter, sit with it and reflect, the odds are we can refine one (or many) of our pillars.

Just remember that less is more; so focusing on one pillar at a time can be a helpful way to rebuild and reset that baseline that is so integral to your mental health.

If you're struggling to set a plan in place, or not sure where to start, please know we are here to help. Reach out to us via our client portal (link in bio), email mmpsychotherapy@outlook.com or DM on our socials.

The theme of frustration and setbacks have come up a lot in the last few weeks of sessions. Maybe it's the change in seasons, the shift in the pace of life, or perhaps simply hitting resistance. However, this is just a gentle reminder that healing isn't linear.

It's important to remember to be extra gentle with yourself, as you're practicing the tools from a point of connection with self. Please remember to give yourself some grace, be patience and kind as you then apply these tools out in the wild when interacting with others.

When healing, I like to consider the visual of a spiral staircase, as you grow and shift. You may look back on the progress you've made, and not all views from a new level of healing are pleasant, or fun, however they are necessary as you expand on that self-awareness and integrate the tools and lenses into your day-to-day life.

If needing a refresher, a top up, a safe place to land and unpack, or build on new tools, please know we are taking on new clients. You can book a session with us via our client portal (link in bio), DM us, email us at mmpsychotherapy@outlook.com, or call us at 844-733-2023.

Be patient. Be kind. And give yourself some grace.

The season of transition continues to be underway, and with the change in weather and the hustle & bustle of the fall season upon us, we an easily slip into autopilot and risk emptying our cup.

Despite there never being enough hours in the day, we invite you to take a pause, take a breath and create pockets of moments in your day-to-day life that can help you reset and fill that cup.

Here are a few ideas from our team of therapists to help you full your cup, anticipate the changes ahead, and safeguard from both seasonal changes and burnout:
- Start taking Vitamin D
- Drink your water
Adding some guilt-free rest time (again: rest doesn't need to be earned!)
- Invite stretches into your day
- Check-in with your breath & connect it deeply to the bottom of your belly
- Get yourself a snacky snack (please).
- Explore with curiosity different hobbies to switch our those summer hobbies with ones for the seasons ahead (did somebody say green thumbing with adding more indoor plants?)
- Connect with loves ones (prioritize a coffee date with a friend, or go visit an aging family member).
- Consider volunteering for a cause of your choice.
- Meal prep
- Make time to play (playing is important at all ages & feeds your soul).

What are your go-to's to fill your cup? How are you going to support yourself with this seasonal transition? Comment below. 👇

Hello, September! 🍂✨

I've always found September to be synonymous with a new year; a fresh start. A new school year in session. An opportunity to switch gears for the remainder of the year. An invitation for a reset if needed.

September can also bring a fair share of emotions, from joy for pumpkin spice season being upon us, to a quiet dread as we watch our gardens harvested and get ourselves ready for weekends spent a little different than during those balmy summer months.

Please know we are here to help with such a seasonal transition. Please note we are currently accepting new clients, should you feel the need for support to re-shift, to take that moment to expand on your self-awareness, learn some new tools, and to sharpen your mental health game in preparation for the months ahead.

DM us on Instagram, DM us on Facebook, email us at mmpsychotherapy@outlook.com, or login to our client portal (🧷in bio)to book your session today!

Mind|Matter has been officially approved as a practicum site for Yorkville University's Master's in Counselling & Psychotherapy Program.

As a result, we will be welcoming our first Yorkville student in September.

Keep an eye out for her introduction, and promotional opportunity to book with her in the near future. Although we aren't wishing away the summer by any means, we can honestly say we are so very much looking forward to this fall lineup.
