IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR OUR OXYGEN CLIENTS:

Being prepared for a power outage is very important for our home oxygen clients. Here is a quick reminder of the important steps that must be taken every time the power goes out.

STEP 1: Turn the oxygen concentrator OFF.
STEP 2: Switch to your Back-up Oxygen System.
STEP 3: Call Nova Scotia Power or your power provider to find out how long the outage is expected to last.
STEP 4: Call Family 1st at 1-800-565-2021 to inform us about the outage so we can assess your situation and continue to effectively manage your care.
STEP 5: Notify Family 1st when your power is restored.

These steps are designed for your health and safety. Please remember to follow them and keep them handy.
