‼️Update: I’ve added a 30-minute subsequent treatment option.

When there are multiple areas of concern, sometimes 20-minutes isn’t enough. I’ve added a 30-minute appointment option for this reason. It gives us enough time to complete a more thorough treatment!

Here is what I recommend for treatments:
💫 20-minutes: routine maintenance patients, or 1-2 acute areas of concern
💫 30-minutes: >2 areas of concern, more extensive soft tissue therapy, and active exercise prescription
💫 40-minutes: standard chiropractic treatment with acupuncture, reassessment of a new injury, if you haven’t been to the clinic in >6 months, or if you just want the extra treatment time :)

Colic
〰️ When a healthy baby cries for a long time with no obvious reason.
〰️ More than 3 hours a day, more than 3 days a week, for more than 3 weeks.

We don’t know for sure what causes colic, but there are a few theories.
〰️ Babies may be sensitive and having trouble adjusting to the world with an overwhelming amount of new stimulation
〰️ Babies may be unable to self-soothe
〰️ Immature body systems (digestive, neurological)
〰️ Reflux or abdominal pain

A study in 2021 examines the effect of chiropractic care on infantile colic in 185 babies from 2-14 weeks old:
✨ 67% of chiropractic treatment group had crying time reduction vs 47% in control group
✨ The duration of crying reduced by 1.5 hours per day in the chiropractic treatment group vs 1 hour in the control group

This tells us that over time babies will grow out of the “colic phase” on their own, but chiropractic care can also help to reduce this time! 👏🏻
