Owners Rick Tkach and Jeanie Bezdan started practicing massage therapy together in their first clinic (East Burnaby Massage Therapy) in 1995. It was a small space, with no place to assist clients with therapeutic exercises, and no room to grow. Together they had a vision to open a multidisciplinary clinic with a large gym full of natural light, where clients could access a range of therapies all under the same roof.

Each year, our clinic likes to support a local initiative or charity that feeds the hungry or brings people together through physical activity and community.

This year, we were happy to support the New Westminster Minor Ball Hockey Association Jamboree 🏒

NWMBHA gives kids the opportunity to stay active, play hockey, and be part of a team environment.

As part of our contribution, we donated massage gift certificates, muscle recovery balm, and $500 to support equipment for players.

Race season is kicking off! 🏃💨

Whether you’re preparing for the Vancouver Sun Run or the BMO Vancouver Marathon, your body is taking on more impact, more mileage, and more demand.

Running places repetitive stress on your feet, knees, hips, and lower back. Small imbalances can quickly turn into pain or injury if left unaddressed.
Our physiotherapist Nick will be running the Sun Run for the third time this year so he understands firsthand the importance of staying strong, balanced, and injury-free throughout training.
To support your training and recovery, it’s important to:

🏃 Ensure proper alignment and movement
🏃 Address tightness or discomfort early
🏃 Make sure your feet have the right support
🏃 Build strength and stability alongside mileage

Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply want to enjoy the run injury-free, booking in with a physiotherapist can help keep you on track.

It’s a conversation, not an assessment.

You set the pace.

Focus is on safety and trust.

You may leave with simple tools or strategies to support you day-to-day.

It’s okay not to know what to say.

Taking the first step is often the hardest part, but you don’t have to do it alone.
