Gathered Roots is a community style acupuncture clinic that provides affordable acupuncture treatments in a warm welcoming multi-bed atmosphere.

Gathered Roots is a community-style acupuncture clinic, located in the heart of beautiful downtown New Westminster. We provide affordable acupuncture treatments in a warm welcoming multi-bed atmosphere. Acupuncture treatments are based on a sliding scale of $45-75, and patients pay what they can afford. Other services include Facial Rejuvenating therapy, Electroacupuncture, Cupping therapy, Gua sha and Tui Na treatments.

▶️ Acupuncture as a treatment for infertility shows great results both in men and women.

✅️Acupuncture can be considered a successful treatment in restoring fertility in patients by improving s***m quality and ovaries function and balancing the endocrine system and hormones.

👍As you know, the province just released details about their publicly funded IVF program, and started to accept applications, starting July 2, 2025, so as always, we are here to support you during this long journey and make it a little easier for you.

✅️Women are often advised to start acupuncture 3 months before they start treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI).

▶️Early pregnancy is an amazing time filled with great transformation. However, it can also be a time of difficult challenges for a new mother if she has issues like: morning sickness, exhaustion, anxiety, and stress, threatened miscarriage.
Acupuncture can help support women through their pregnancy by easing the symptoms and strengthening the newly pregnant mother as she transitions through this period.👌

▶️Around 36 weeks of pregnancy, we start preparing for labor👍

✅️It is recommended to come in for a few sessions before your due date for "cervical ripening," in which acupuncture points are selected to help prep the body for labor.

✅️However, as llabor approaches, there are a few specific acupuncture techniques that can be done in cases of malpresentation and breech baby, and induction if the baby is overdue.

✅️If your baby is breech, you should begin treatments as soon as possible.👍
✅️The ideal time to start is 33-34 weeks or before.
✅️If you are past that now, start treatment as soon as you find out that your baby is not in the right position.
Though starting treatment earlier is best, it is never too late, and you can begin treatments right away. 😍👍

▶️We work to turn a breech baby in traditional Chinese medicine by encouraging fetal movement with moxibustion. Often, we add acupuncture as well.
▶️The heat from burning moxa sticks stimulates the baby to move. This encourages it to turn. The moxa sticks contain processed leaves of the mugwort plant.
▶️Acupuncture is effective in combination with moxibustion.

✅️A randomized controlled trial indicates that approximately 70% of breech babies will turn using this method.👍

✅️You need treatments daily until the baby turns, but you can receive acupuncture and moxibustion treatment twice a week at the clinic and do moxibustion at home for the days you are not booked in. We will show you how. It is relaxing and easy to do.
