Flat head quiz time 👶💙

If your baby is always looking in the same direction, it’s something worth paying attention to.

This isn’t always just a preference, it can sometimes be linked to torticollis, where neck muscles are tighter on one side, making it harder for babies to turn both ways equally.

Over time, this can lead to increased pressure on one area of the head and contribute to positional plagiocephaly or head shape asymmetry.

Early support can make a big difference in both movement and head shape development.

Save this for later if you’re noticing your baby favouring one side.

Flat head quiz time 👶💙

In the 0–4 month stage, babies spend a lot of time lying on their backs, which means pressure can build on the same area of the head.

Encouraging balanced head positioning during this stage can make a big difference. This can look like gently alternating head turns during sleep, switching sides during feeding, and changing how your baby is placed in the crib.

These small, consistent changes help reduce repeated pressure and support healthy head shape development early on.

Save this for later if you’re in those early newborn months.

🌙 Late-night Google search: “Am I overthinking my baby’s flat spot?”

This is something so many parents quietly wonder.

When you’re looking at your baby every day, it can be hard to tell what’s changing, what’s improving, and what might need a closer look. That uncertainty can lead to second-guessing yourself.

If something keeps catching your attention, it’s okay to trust that instinct. A free ROKband assessment can help bring clarity to what you’re seeing and whether it’s something to simply monitor or explore further.

You’re not overthinking, you’re being a thoughtful, attentive parent. 💙

Some start early, some adjust as they go, and some aren’t sure what to look for yet and that’s completely okay.

Which of these best describes your current approach to prevention? 💙
