Just imagine for a second....
if you were a psychic.
And you had to feel every single being you came into contact with.
Their energy, emotions, trauma, distortions and thoughts.... every minute of every hour of the day in order to be seen as relevant.
That's a hell nobody should be forced to live just to be validated.
Swimming in a sea of other beings energy that feels like it's yours.
Your inner peace being disrupted by other beings ignorance to address their own energetic and mental health.
Constantly being pulled one way or another and thrown off balance by everyone around you.
Because you aren't allowed to protect yourself and your time and energy?
Nobody asks a tradesperson to work for free.
Nobody demands a plumber plumb their line to prove they can do it before they will invest in their skillset.
Nobody demands a free surgical procedure from a surgeon to trust they have the skills to do it.
And nobody leaves slanderous reviews on their pages when they refuse (yep that's happened to me too)
They trust that those people are certified and tested already. They see the reviews and trust it. They respect them as professionals who have sacrificed so much to master their skillset.
But the automatic assumption in energetics is that our education and experiences and knowledge are not real.
People are jealous because we make it look easy and they don't see the thousands of hours/lifetimes of work we put into making it look that way.
Or because one person they interacted with was a scam artist, all people with that role are.
Or someone said that readers are frauds because they didn't want to acknowledge their own inner burden the truth teller pointed out in them.
Some people don't understand it because they simply don't want to understand it.
Even if science proves it.
We have to swim through limiting beliefs, inner programs, karma, energetic creations and people resisting and attacking our own healing just to get to the point where our life isn't chaos anymore. And then people still say "prove it". Lol
So it makes me laugh when people ask me what I get from their energy (in passing) or tell me "I should know what they are thinking if I'm legit" as they approach my market booth.
No, I shouldn't know those things. And no self respecting person should have to prove themselves to a stranger who isn't even in the market for what they do.
I do not see a point in opening my energy to feel the pain of those not willing to do anything about the information I give them. I'm not willing to suffer for entertainment. Because what I feel in your energy is the distortions caused by things you haven't resolved.
I walk through the suffering to help pull people OUT of it.
Like a firefighter... they don't just casually hang out in fire. They are familiarized with the fire so they can "fight" it, to help. They wouldn't go fight fire if it didn't need to be done. I don't tap dance in uncleared energy for kicks. Low vibrational energy isn't pleasant. And people who don't cleanse their energy have plenty of that.
I can get my practice in working on my own life and lineage without taking on others burdens for free.
I prefer to only tap in psychically if I can clear the energy in a healing session (which actually brings me a lot of joy knowing I have changed a life in a positive way. Let me be clear, clearing energy is not a burden... just having to read it and not being allowed to fix it is horrible)
Luckily, Tarot cards allow for a reading to be filtered through the cards.... Not my body/systems (most times). Which is helpful in holding that space for me to not be affected.
The TRUTH is, a real master of anything has BOUNDARIES. Even (especially) healers and teachers. Because a healer who has no boundaries is not going to protect YOU if they aren't protecting themselves.
We master ourselves. And OUR world.
We don't HAVE to babysit yours.
Your stuff is YOUR responsibility.
WE CHOOSE to help you make your job easier.
That does NOT mean we have to lose ourselves, our rights, our personal feelings/experiences/life/relationships, our income, our choice, our dignity or our self respect and become a martyr to use what we are extremely skilled in to help others without a return on our investment.
Healers/intuitives aren't just tools you devalue, use and throw away.
We are people WITH tools.
It's up to you to invest in yourself/world however you see fit.
We are only here with a skillset to do it, because we have done it.
We already walked the long hard path.
And you don't have to value or invest in hiring those with the skills to navigate the way.
But don't go expecting it for free just because you don't believe in or value them.
Curiosity is great! Go research. Look up people's content and testimonials. Use your discernment. But don't "test" psychics like me on the street without intent to pay for a session.
I can know. I just don't need to.
