We are so happy to help out a remarkable young athlete from Newcastle, Ontario. Rachael Love is a 14-year-old Muay Thai fighter with an extraordinary drive and passion for the sport.
She trains at Redemption Muay Thai in Bowmanville under the expert guidance of Steve Lee. Rachael’s dedication to Muay Thai is unparalleled.
She has achieved significant milestones in her young career, bringing pride to her community and country.
· In 2024, she won gold at the IKF East Coast Fall Classic in the novice championship.
· She triumphed at the 2025 WBC Pan American Championships in the elite class, securing a gold medal for Canada.
· Her accomplishments have earned national recognition: Muay Thai Canada and Muay Thai Ontario named her the 2025 Youth Female Athlete of the Year, honouring her as the top youth female athlete in the entire country.
· Her impressive performance in these competitions earned her an automatic entry into the 2025 WBC World Championship, in Verona, Italy. She proudly brought home a bronze medal for Canada
· She captured the first‑place championship belt At the CMTO Muay Thai Open on August 17, 2025, further solidifying her place among Canada’s top young fighters.
· 1st place belt at the US Spring Opening in Arizona April of 2026
She trains over 20 hours each week, pushing herself to grow, improve, and represent her country with pride.
Rachael is currently a member of Team Canada for the 2026 WBC World Championships, where she will compete on the world stage in Bangkok, Thailand, the birthplace of Muay Thai. She will also travel to Thailand ahead of the event to train and sharpen her skills alongside her teammates.
This November, she will once again represent Canada internationally as she heads to Greece for the IFMA World Championships.
