This series is for anyone who experiences neck, shoulder or hip discomfort related to stress, tension, arthritis, injuries, or other types of physical issues in these areas.

In these classes, we will focus on stretches and yoga poses that target key muscles connected to the shoulders, neck, and hips.

We will also explore gentle flowy movements that help release the fascia in the arms, legs, hips, and back, as tension in the back can impact the shoulders, neck, and hips.

We will hydrate and release the iliopsoas, the longest muscle of the body connecting the spine to each thigh: unbeknownst to us, this very important muscle is often tight due to stress, posture, and sitting, which can cause strain and discomfort in the hips.

Self-massage with various props will be included to release the fascia more fully, and to relieve tension. An enjoyable restorative pose will end the practice for integration, and for a deep reset of the nervous system.

As a BONUS, all classes of this series will be recorded which will allow all the participants to continue their practice at home between classes. You will have access to the recordings for an extra month once the series ends.

If you find that the “in person” class time does not work for you, simply register using the “virtual series” option and you will receive all the class recordings.

Come & join Anna Leeming for an evening of Kirtan and Meditation!

Kirtan is part of the tradition of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. It is a type of call-and-response chanting that comes from India’s ancient devotional practices.

As we chant, we open our heart, we let go, and we allow ourselves to be transported into a new state of being. Chanting gently brings us into a meditative state. Kirtan starts slow, builds up in pace, inviting us to sway and dance, then slows down again, each chant ends with silent integration. The mind becomes still, while our heart fills with love...

Kirtan is truly uplifting and transformational, it is a wonderful way to connect with our deeper self. It is a group musical expression of the divine spirit within. Chanting ancient mantras and prayers, we allow ourselves to tune into our whole being.

Monday night special Yoga & Meditation class!

Yin-Yang Yoga & LifeForce Yoga Bliss Meditation

This evening, let’s focus on finding inner balance through a lovely Yin and Yang yoga practice. We will begin the process of re-establishing internal wellbeing with alternate nostril breathing which will allow us to slow down in a few yin yoga poses. We will then explore Yang poses in the way that we generally practice hatha and gentle yoga flows. We will end with a few more Yin poses to embrace and anchor the state of inner harmony that we have created through our practice. Finally, we will seal the deal with a new breathing meditation called LifeForce Yoga Bliss that will create further balance in our energy centers.

Yin Yoga & Root Chakra Meditation
Celebrating Summer’s End Slowly…

We have been enjoying amazing end of summer weather lately, let’s take the time to slow down and go within with a beautiful yin yoga practice designed to help us find both upliftment and a deeper connection to the earth element.

Let’s make this practice one of celebration as we embrace these words from Rumi:

There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground, a thousand ways to go home again.

The practice will end with a relaxing root chakra meditation as we prepare for the official arrival of the fall season in all its glory and the predominance of the earth element.

Let’s welcome the Snow Moon with flowy kriyas that will connect us to the attributes of this February full moon: purification, introspection, and endurance.

This full moon in Leo is one that can help us remember our True Self and the influence that we have on others, and it also holds the potential of bringing in greater fulfillment in our life. It heralds a time of greater spontaneity and sudden insights.

Let’s align with the Snow Moon energy and integrate our practice with delightful restorative poses including one called Stonehenge. Please bring a clean towel or blanket to borrow a bolster.

As we prepare for Valentine’s Day, let’s make this a week to open our heart, and release some of the grudges that are weighing us down and closing off our energy. Forgiveness is a gift that we give ourselves, not necessarily the person that we forgive (although it can help them too), it’s a way to set ourselves free of old wounds and unpleasant memories.

We will begin with a few Yin poses to connect with who it is that we wish to forgive, then we will flow through warming sequences to open our heart and expand our energies to release those closed off areas within ourselves that are holding on to old pain. You will then be guided in a mindfulness-based forgiveness meditation.

The beginning of a brand new year is a great time to reflect about the ways we would like to show up for ourselves and others during the next twelve months, and also to clearly identify an important desire that we wish to manifest in 2025! We can then activate and align with the kinds of energies that will support us in our manifestations!

These are the things we will be exploring in a special yoga and meditation class on Monday, Jan. 6! We will take the time to set powerful intentions for this new year, and identify a desire that we would like to bring into reality this year.

In the midst of this, we will of course, practice some yoga, and move our body, and we will end with a beautiful meditation practice that will help us activate and align with an energy of attraction and of well-being that will support us in our manifestations in 2025!

Special Class: The Tao of Yoga & Organ Balance!

Most people are familiar with the yin-yang symbol as depicted in the image I’ve included here. It is associated with Taoism, a philosophy about living peacefully and in harmony with nature.

This Monday, in my yoga and meditation class, we will explore yoga poses and a meditation to balance our organs and their related element and emotion using a specific Taoist meditation.

We often take our organs for granted unless we’re aware of an illness with them. Our organs work for us day and night to keep our physical body functional and alive. Sometimes, they need our attention and some loving just like we do!
