Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). 

Since 1948, human rights have become more recognised and more guaranteed across the globe. However, dignity and equality in rights, has been under a sustained assault in recent years. As the world faces challenges new and ongoing – pandemics, conflicts, exploding inequalities, morally bankrupt global financial system, racism, climate change; we must ensure that no one gets left behind.

As we near icy weather, it is important to acknowledge and address concerns that would increase the risk of a fall and injury.

Sick Kids Foundation is celebrating a strong 50 years and I am so proud to be one of the MANY supporters of this wonderful organization. I can still recall the feeling of safety that Sick Kids Hospital provided during a very scary time period for my family. It feels so humbling to come full circle and to reflect back to other families the same strength, hope, and determination they show us everyday! Here's to another 50 years of support + love! Here's to the Brave kids of our future!
