Atrial fibrillation (AFIB) is the most common type of irregular heartbeat. Instead of a steady rhythm, the upper chambers of the heart can beat rapidly or unevenly — sometimes felt as a flutter or racing heart, and sometimes with no symptoms at all.
Why it matters: AFIB can cause blood to pool in the heart, which increases the risk of stroke by up to five times.
The good news: with early detection and proper treatment, AFIB can be managed.
This month, join us in spreading awareness and protecting heart health. ❤️
