An evidence based approach HERE WE GO!!! LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MYSELF!!!

For the wonderful people that haven’t met me my name is Matthew Drag. I am a Registered Massage Therapist and currently in the process in obtaining my full Sports Massage Therapist designation with the Canadian Sport Massage Therapist Association (CSMTA ) I’ve been a Registered Massage Therapist for 4 years. I hold a diploma in the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant program. I am also a Therapy Assistant at Cortellucci Hospital. I work in various units in the hospital such as medicine, complex care, palliative and primarily orthopedics. In the orthopedics unit I work with various age groups. With people recovering from post operative total hip replacements, total knee replacements and back surgeries. My main focus is helping people recover from injury or surgery to regain their physical abilities and independence. I want to be able to educate YOU how to move your body efficiently and facilitate people journey of health and wellness. As an active individual, I learned the benefits of Massage Therapy through treatment to keep my physical body capable of continuing my favourite activities. I believe that our bodies are incredible. My goal is to open your mind to better understand how your body works through the therapeutic process of Massage. A little bit about myself I love improving on myself. I truly believe if you want to succeed in something you have to practice mental override. It’s the ability to make yourself do something you don’t want to do. I’m still trying to practice the whole mental override. For some people it’s hard because they are comfortable in life. When I get comfortable I almost feel like I’m uncomfortable. When life doesn’t have challenges comfort sets in. When comfort sets in people stagnate. So for all you beautiful people you have to enjoy the feeling of improving in small ways. I also enjoy staying active by playing soccer, squash, weightlifting, and tennis. Thanks
