If you’re a stressed woman there is a good chance your digestive system is on pause ⏸️

Try these simple digestion boosts:

✅Taking 4 slow breaths before you eat puts the body in a parasympathetic state aka rest and digest.
✅Liquids dilute precious stomach acid making it possible for large food particles to make it into your small intestine.
✅A short brisk walk after meals is not only great for moving food though the digestive tract but it’s excellent for blood sugar and insulin levels!

👩🏻‍🍳 Whipped Cream Recipe 👩🏻‍🍳

You want to SAVE this recipe!

1 cup heavy cream
1 tbs powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients in a whipped cream maker - WHAT?! - you didn’t know that was a thing? 😉
Pump the cream until you reach the desired consistency and put it in the fridge until you’re ready to use.
Makes about 4 servings.

You could also beat the ingredients in a nice big chilled bowl and then refrigerate.

What makes this recipe better than store bought?
It has 3 ingredients and no thickeners, fake sugars, or oils.

This whipped cream is great with fresh fruit (as pictured with Niagara peaches 🍑), angel food cake or for fancy coffees, lattes and mochas😋

Do you feel feel tired and sluggish, unable to get a good night’s sleep and wondering where the vivacious bold version of you went?

If you’re confused about the “right” diet to support your hormones start with these three food-types:

1. Protein- has a thermic effect which means it uses more energy to absorb & takes longer to digest, this is why protein is satiating & reduces cravings, important in liver detoxification (a major root cause player in hormone imbalance!), preserves and builds muscle. Eat a variety of proteins for the most benefits: grass fed beef, chicken, eggs, dairy, broth,

2. Carbs - You need carbs to support healthy hormones. Choosing nutrient dense carbs like fruits, berries, potatoes, carrots and squash are great choices to balance your macros. Carbs support progesterone production and provide liver glycogen and are the body’s primary source of fuel.

3. Minerals - Include mineral rich foods that contain magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, selenium, chromium, iodine, zinc and iron. My favs are tropical fruits, seafood, meat, eggs, well cooked produce, coconut water, broth and high quality dairy. Minerals are the spark plugs that give your body energy! So many of the women I work with are struggling with imbalanced hormones because of one main culprit 👉

STRESS!!!

Over time your body becomes depleted from stress (physical, environmental, mental) and you start to experience hormone related symptoms related to breaking down.

Eventually you’re running on empty - that’s where your adrenals have crashed. Your cortisol is LOW and you’re struggling in many aspects of daily life.

😩How many symptoms are you experiencing?

These common symptoms are associated with hormone imbalances like thyroid disorders, adrenal dysfunction, cortisol dysregulation, estrogen dominance, low-progesterone and others…

Mood swings - Are you irritable, anxious, depressed and living on the edge of exploding? These reactions are often caused by cortisol, blood sugar and low progesterone.

Fatigue - Are you tired all day, mid day crashes, do you struggle with energy levels? Low thyroid output and adrenal dysfunction can cause fatigue, low energy levels and poor sleep!

Weight Gain - Especially when around the abdomen can be linked to estrogen, cortisol and blood sugar!

Skin Changes - Acne, melasma and even wrinkles can be due to testosterone, estrogen, blood sugar and poor liver detoxification.

Hair Loss - Thinning hair is often associated with poor thyroid output and estrogen levels.

Poor Sleep - Hormonal imbalances can cause insomnia or difficulty falling or staying asleep. Check cortisol, blood sugar and consider neurotransmitter supports.

Hot flashes - Waking in the night drenched? Estrogen and blood sugar!

Cycle Changes - Usually due to the estrogen - progesterone relationship! Approaching menopause - might be time to consider supports!

🛑 DIETS DON’T WORK 🛑

If you’re reading this it’s probably because you’ve been on a diet and didn’t get the long term results you wanted.

My opinion is that you need to build awareness of your current NEEDS: nutrition, mineral status, hormone output, digestion, detoxification, sleep and stress - and then make small changes going in the right direction to obtain the health you want.

⚠️ Diets are not designed to support all of those processes!

Getting started is actually not that hard - SAVE the last slide for a brief list of foundational supports.

Are you currently doing all of them?!

I work with high-achieving women, the go-getters - who are exhausted from life and unhappy in their current health.

They’ve tried diets, supplement protocols and have been left disappointed and frustrated from the lack of support in the medical community and know that hormone balance doesn’t come from a magic pill.
