Our first senior art gallery and community hub at Chapel Heights this morning was an overwhelming success! 🎉

THANK YOU! To the many artists, friends and guests who attended this morning’s free event open to seniors 55+ from across Niagara who came together and explored the senior art gallery, met with artists, enjoyed a java, tunes and culinary delights.

Welcome Jillian Collins to Pioneer Elder Care! 🌟

A graduate of the Recreation Therapy program at Niagara College, Jillian also holds a diploma in Health Sciences., and is certified in DementiAbility, a person-centred approach that focuses on understanding behaviours as meaningful communication, supporting individuals living with dementia with dignity and respect.

Jillian comes to us with experience working with a wide range of populations, including seniors, individuals living with mental health, and those with cognitive and physical disabilities.

Passionate about creating inclusive, meaningful and engaging experiences that enhance quality of life, Jillian is also certified in Gentle Persuasive Approaches to Dementia Care and CARES Dementia trained.

Bilingual in French and English she is deeply committed to supporting and advocating for the francophone community. Outside of of work, Jillian enjoys arts, crafting and staying active through sports and visits to the gym.
