Procrastination isn’t laziness.
It’s information.
Most of us don’t delay because we don’t care.
We delay because we care deeply.
When something matters—when it’s tied to identity, growth, or change—the emotional stakes rise. And your nervous system may decide that waiting feels safer than beginning.
That pause isn’t failure.
It’s self-protection.
You don’t need more discipline.
You need less threat.
Sometimes the smallest, messiest step forward is enough to tell your body: we’re okay to begin.
If this resonates, try journaling on one of these:
• What feels risky about starting?
• What meaning have I attached to this task?
• What would a compassionate first step look like?
Change doesn’t come from forcing.
It comes from safety, honesty, and gentle movement.
🤍 You’re not behind. You’re not broken.
If this feels familiar, you’re not alone — share this with someone who needs to hear it too.

January is not behaving like a fresh start for a lot of people. It feels heavier. Quieter. Like something is ending rather than beginning.
Feels like January is kicking our butts: colds, anger and feelings that are tough and rough and in your face - it's winding down. You got this!
and p.s. - reiki helps

Think of the simpler times you carry within you — the laughter that echoed through your childhood, the small joys that once felt endless, the gentle rhythms of life that now seem distant. Those moments are not gone; they live inside you, in memory, in the way you still notice beauty, in the ways your heart has learned and grown.
Remembering doesn’t mean wishing things were exactly as they were. It means honoring the past while letting it illuminate the present. When life feels complicated, chaotic, or overwhelming, those memories are a reminder: even now, there are moments of ease, wonder, and connection waiting to be noticed.
Carry this thought with you today. Let it soften the edges of stress, bring a quiet smile to your heart, and guide you toward seeing the richness that exists right here, right now. The past, in all its simplicity and beauty, lives on — not as something lost, but as a compass pointing to gratitude, clarity, and the gentle joys that still surround you.
And if you're a Reiki practitioner, ask Reiki to help you focus on the good stuff more often, or ask to help you notice the good stuff - love, kindness, joy.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Reiki has a positive affect on all forms of illness and negative conditions. This includes minor things like head or stomach aches, bee stings, colds, flu, tension and anxiety as well as serious illness like heart disease, cancer, leukemia, etc. The side effects of regular medical treatments have also been reduced or eliminated. This includes the negative effects of chemotherapy, post-operative pain and depression as well as improving the healing rate and reducing the time needed to stay in the hospital.
Stress reduction with some improvement in ones physical and psychological condition are what most experience. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings a state of peace and well-being is experienced.
Reiki is:
A subtle and effective form of energy healing
Practiced in every country of the world
Being used in many settings including hospitals, hospice, as well as in private practice and in self-care
A wonderful complementary modality in a personal wellness or healing program
Is a non-invasive, completely benign healing technique, given to a fully clothed client.
So how is a Reiki treatment given? In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Each position is held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position. The whole treatment usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.
It is safe for everyone and everything. Reiki is easily adapted to most medical conditions and is safe for children, pregnant women, surgical patients, the elderly, animals and plants.
