Happy Thanksgiving! While it is focused on connection and gratitude. This time of year naturally amplifies themes of compassion, understanding, love, and appreciation. While often centered around a shared meal, the true significance of the holiday lies in consciously cultivating these qualities within ourselves and extending them outward.
Thanksgiving provides a unique opportunity to practice empathy. Gatherings often include diverse perspectives and life experiences. It is a powerful moment to move beyond superficial interactions, seek genuine understanding of those around you, and offer compassion for the journeys they are on.
The holiday serves as a clear reminder to focus on the good in our lives. It encourages us to vocalize our appreciation for the people, resources, and opportunities we often take for granted. The Spiritual Significance of the Third Quarter Moon in the course of Eclipse Season
• Letting Go: As the moon is "waning" or decreasing in light, you are encouraged to release old habits, toxic emotions (like guilt or shame), beliefs, and even relationships that are holding you back.
• Reflection and Reassessment: The Eclipse Cycle is 6 months (approx.). I want you to look back at March. The lunar eclipse was March 14 at 23 degrees on Virgo. The solar eclipse was on March 29 at 9 degrees of Pisces. I want you to look back at what was happening in March. The third quarter moon would have occurred on March 21. What are the goals and intentions you set during the new moon. Review your progress, acknowledge your accomplishments, and take responsibility for any shortcomings without judgment.
• Preparation for Renewal: By releasing the old, you create a fertile ground for the next lunar cycle. This phase is about preparing yourself, both mentally and physically, for the new intentions you will set at the next new moon.
