What if one of the most powerful brain health interventions isn’t a supplement, a drug, or a biohack, but a 30-minute walk?

A randomized clinical trial in the Journal of Sport and Health Science assigned adults ages 26 to 58 to follow an aerobic exercise program targeting 150 minutes per week for 12 months. On MRI, their brains shifted to look about 0.95 years “younger” than the control group on a brain-age algorithm.

That might not sound dramatic, but brain aging is cumulative, and small shifts add up.

What I love about this study is the age range. These benefits showed up in early and midlife, not just later decades.

Exercise likely supports brain health through multiple pathways, including improved cerebral blood flow and neuroplasticity, although the exact mechanisms behind the brain-age shift are still being worked out.

Thirty minutes, five days a week. Move at a pace where you notice your breathing change.

Your future cognitive health is being shaped by what you do today. 🧠

Estrogen affects far more than reproductive health. It plays a role in brain function, joint health, skin integrity, and inflammation regulation. Here are three signs that are often overlooked:

1. Difficulty concentrating or memory changes: Estrogen supports neurotransmitter activity and blood flow in the brain. When levels decline, focus, recall, and mental clarity can be affected.

2. Joint pain or stiffness: Estrogen helps modulate inflammation and supports connective tissue health. Lower levels can contribute to increased joint discomfort or stiffness, even without injury.

3. Dry skin and hair: Estrogen supports collagen production and moisture retention. Declines can lead to drier skin, thinning hair, or changes in texture.

These symptoms are often subtle and easy to dismiss, but they can be important signals.

If this sounds familiar, your body may be asking for a closer look at hormonal balance.

Research shows that many women with fibroids are not told about treatment options other than surgeries like a hysterectomy. Minimally invasive procedures include uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) or radiofrequency ablation (RFA), among others.

A recent study published in JAMA Network Open found nearly three-fourths of women who had uterine fibroids removed underwent hysterectomy compared with 23% who underwent myomectomy and 3.5% who had UFE. And the older a woman was, the more likely she was to have a hysterectomy. http://ms.spr.ly/6181tnf5f
