Please Welcome, Maddison to take5!
Hi! My name is Maddison, or Maddie, and I’m a third-year Honours English student at Brock University, with minors in Psychology and Indigenous Studies. I’ve always had a passion for supporting others and helping people feel safe, valued, and understood. Over the years, I’ve gained experience as both a Supply Educational Assistant with the Halton District School Board and an Inclusion Support Worker in the Town of Milton’s recreation programs. In these roles, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, teenagers, and adults with a variety of developmental and physical exceptionalities, including those with high and complex support needs. These experiences have shaped the way I approach care—with empathy, patience, and genuine connection at the heart of everything I do. I believe that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion, and I take pride in creating environments where people can express themselves freely and simply enjoy being who they are. My long-term goal is to become a high school special education teacher, where I can continue to make a difference in peoples lives. When I’m not working or studying, I love spending time with my cat, watching hockey, and curling up with a good book. I’m so grateful to be part of the Take 5 Respite Services team, and I truly look forward to building some meaningful relationships.
